Welcome everyone! This is my second grow and my first journal. First time through was quite fun and I'm even more excited the second time around. Here's the general breakdown of my grow:

  • 1 whiteberry plant grown from my own clone (vegged for around 5 weeks under fluorescent)
  • 250 Watt HPS
  • General Hydroponics 3 part nutrients (micro, grow, bloom) + liquid koolbloom
  • Deep water culture bubbler bucket system
  • Screen of green closet grow (2.5' x 1.5' x 4')

Here are a few pics. These are around 1 week into flowering already. I will most likely be updating with pics weekly. I hope you all enjoy following my grow (I know I will!)

end of week 2. here are some more pics. since i vegged this plant pretty long in my case (5 weeks), i'm already at max nutrients in flowering. therefore, i'm hopefully expecting an even better yield this time around.

the plant is already probably too big for my closet and i'll most likely have to cut some branches back in order to focus on the more dominant colas but we'll see what happens.

3 weeks down! 5 more to go!

so far, so good. i haven't had any major setbacks (yet). crystals are starting to form on the hairs and leaves. this plant produces some of the craziest hairs i've ever seen.

by the way, i only feed my plant once a week. i'll take it out and clean the whole bucket every time just to make sure everything is nice and clean. the rest of the week i just top up with water and pH as needed. maxing nutes around 1400 all through flowering as well. i'm getting excited but still a ways to go.

sorry about the lack of pics. camera died while shooting. here are a few though.

another week in the books. i am now half way through flowering with 4 weeks left. buds are looking great if i do say so myself. trichomes are constantly increasing. the height of the plant has finally slowed a little (but it might explode again this feeding).

i have been considering trying to increase the nutrients even more to see if the plant can take it, but i'm worried about over-ferting. some of the leaf tips are a little burned but i've heard that that is normal when trying to push the plant as much as possible (as long as the leaves themselves don't start showing burning signs all over).

here are some more pics. hope you enjoy!

thanks for the kind words.

i'm sure you'll enjoy whiteberry. it's a great strain. i purchased mine from paradise seeds. i don't know if you read any reviews about it but it's amazing. the fruity, berry flavour and smell is great. also, it delivers on the more cerebral high even though it's mostly indica. a great indoor plant for sure.

5 weeks of flowering completed!

well it seems like i am again getting buds that are too heavy to stay up. i had to add two wooden stakes into the setup in order to attach the branches to something sturdy. at least this time around i am able to add support though.

plant is looking great! buds are starting to get pretty big already and there's still a minimum of 3 weeks left. here are some more pics. enjoy!

oops? forgot to post pics this week.

5 weeks down, 2 to go! buds are getting fat and juicy for sure! most of them are starting to fall over now. i've added three stakes to prop them up. might have to add another couple maybe. i'm really thinking that next grow i may use some sort of tomato metal thingy or something similar so i have something surrounding the plant that i can tie branches to when needed.

i did kind of mess up using the scrog method however (i.e. plant outgrew the screen), so maybe i should try it again.

in any case, here are this weeks pics (almost a week late). enjoy!

today will mark the point where i will start flushing. i plan to use pHed water for about 4-5 days just to remove some of the nutrients still in the plant. therefore, i will be chopping this baby down either saturday or sunday this weekend.

here are a few more pics before she's all gone!

I don't think they look ready to be chopped yet. Have you checked the trichromes under a microscope yet? If you don't have a microscope I would wait till the hairs start to recede into the bud before you chop. But they do look mighty tasty.

i do have a microscope, but it's not the greatest (i believe it's only 30x which can questionably tell the trich color). according to the breeder (paradise), whiteberry flowers in 50-55 days. my first plant i harvested at around 52 days. this one i thought i'd go a little longer. simply because i probably won't have the time to do all the work on a weekday, i'm waiting until the weekend. this saturday will actually be the 63rd day of flowering, so i'm not sure if i should wait much longer than that.

It's up to you if you want to chop it. It won't really hurt anything. My Exodus Cheese grow that I did was supposed to be finished in 9 weeks. Well I didn't chop it until 12 weeks, because it just wasn't ready. I like to wait until the hairs start to recede into the bud. I don't remember what book that was in, but I did actually read it from a book. LOL

heh, yeah i've heard of that before also. my first grow of this seed went well though so i know i could chop it now. i just thought i'd let it go a little longer this time just for some variety.

Yeah, like I said it won't hurt anything to chop it early, but you will be sacrificing quite a bit of weight by doing so. That is one thing I noticed by waiting till the hairs recede into the bud. The buds almost doubled in density.

really? wow.

maybe next grow i'll just let it go longer. for this one, like i already mentioned, the branches are pretty much falling over everywhere. not to mention, it's too big for the closet it's in already. i don't think it'd would make another week at this point ;)

harvested!! :hello:

looks like i'm going to get at least 50% more on this plant than my first grow. flowered it for 60-ish days this time around. we'll see if that affects the high and potency.

here are some more pics of the harvest. i'll most likely post with a final count in a couple weeks or so after drying and curing a bit.
