i just recently started my first real grow inside of my PC case, yep. now there are at least 10 PC grows on here haha. it's a really cheap set up, 3 26w CFL's, the walls of the case are just plain white paper, and i got 2 CPU fans, 1 going in, 1 going out.

i am only doing 1 plant, just a bagseed, but it did come from very potent blueberry, hopefully it will turn out female.

i germinated for 4 days, that's how long it took for the tap root to come out, i did it in a moist towel, inside of a ziplock bag. i put it in my drawer under my xbox so the heat would get to it, but stay dark.

after the tap root came out i planted it into some Black Gold organic soil, around 9 in the morning. turned on the lights, i woke up the next morning to this:

Day 2:

i added another CFL to the case, it's around 80-85 degrees in there, is that good?

this picture was taken around 10 this morning

and around 9 tonight i decided to put it into a bigger, not clear pot
aka coolwhip container

and i have a question for other growers, how long should i keep the lights on for 24/7? i is it after a certain number of leaf sets? what is the minimum time frame to start 12/12?

the way i look at it, would it ever get 24hours of light naturally...no way!!

would give a maximum of 18hours light a day for a minimum of 8 weeks from seed, depends on so many things though...

like how good you are at stating seeds, propagation, strain, lighting, knowledge

so a very open question, hence the reason you haven't got alot of feedback

Day 3:

it's gotten a little bigger, i am taking Mr_X's advice and going 18/6. it looks like in the middle that the 2nd set of leaves are about to show up in the next few days.

wouldn't water again for 2-3days, let it dry out significantly.
also make sure the CFL is about 8cm from the puppy for maximum light exposure.

if you could get the temp down to 75 degrees F, would be better aswel

Day 4:

i started doing the 18/6 light cycle, and today when i got home from work the lights were still off, when i opened the case, there was a potatoe bug munchin down on one of my leaves

how can i avoid this happening? how did the potatoe bug even get there? lol

Day 6:

things are looking good so far, i switched it back to 24/7 lighting, everytime i turn off the lights a bunch of bugs appear from under the soil. i'll have to find a way to get rid of em before flowering

i am thinking about going to Lowe's and buying a 250w MH bulb and taking out the 4 CFL's. is that a good idea?

I had an issue with this during the same stage, I let it be, and there was only one time I had a bug attack one of my plants and it only happened a little like in your pic my plants are fine and growing grat now just stay at 24/7 lighting for now.

should i stay at the 104w of CFL or go and buy the 250w MH?

If you have the spare money, the Halide will be brilliant.

Or maybe see about a HPS light of the equal wattage instead. They are meant to be good for flowering and nearly on par with Halide's for vegetative growth.

How close are your CFL's to the plant?

I stayed with the CFL's and it was fine, if you have the extra money then you can switch but if not you should be fine with the CFL's

thought i'd update, also i was wondering how to tell the difference between female and male?
