Mylar Idea

I finally got around to trying my Mylar idea last night. My 3 gallon pots are actually pails with handles. The outside diameter is about 36". What I did was get some light weight poster board, cut it to 28 1/2" high and 17 1/2" wide and taped some Mylar on one side. Slid those between the pail handles and the pots following the curvature of the pots, then pulled them back a little at an angle on top so that as the plants get bigger it could conform perfectly with them. They stay perfectly in place too and are easily removable.

My circulation fan sits about 6 feet away from the canopy about from where I took the shot below. The circulation "looked good" but unfortunately it apparently interfered with it and bumped my temps up so I had to abort for now. I still like the idea and may revisit it later.

I just tested it on two of them but here's what it looked like...

RO Water System

I've been watchin' eBay for a couple of months for a "deal" and I think I found one so I pulled the trigger! It's 6 stage and NEW for $100 and free shipping and with UPS at that!

Looks like exactly the SAME THING my local hydro store sells for about $250 plus tax.

No hurry to install it, get it, or use it, but I wanted to POUNCE on that at that price!

I'll stick it under my kitchen sink. It just requires a water pressure of a minimum of 35 PSI supposedly to work without a booster pump. I'm pretty sure mine is around 40 PSI. It's rated at 100 GPD (Gallons per Day).

It looks like I have my temp problem solved for what is going to be my Fall/Winter set up in the Flowering Room. My living/office area is a very comfortable 74F using either AC or heat and my Flowing Room is constant at a very acceptable 81F during "lights on".

My plan is to slide 6 more in as soon as these finish and to constantly have 6 under 600w HPS at 12/12. I'll start vegging another 6 in about 4 weeks in the Veg Room under 400w HM.

Hey, bmerboy! I'm modeling mine on others so it's a leap frog effect I suppose! I've spent TONS OF HOURS here at Grass City getting an education and it's getting kinda automatic to me. Should be a breeze.

I'm messing with little stuff now that I neglected before busy focusing on the big stuff. Like how much lint is in my navel and stuff like that! lol

It looks like some ff is here if that's not too far away... Other than that, I dunno.

I'm not going to be using using FF nutes. Flora Nova Bloom and I got that online. Google it!

Mylar? Yeah, I think probably so. Everyone uses it here. You can get that in the Camping Section (Isle) at Walmart at $2.88 plus tax. It's sold as an Emergency Blanket.
