God damn hipster, no wonder your plants stretched.
At 2 weeks i have my shade around a foot off the top of the canopy, so the actual lamp would be around 14 or 15 inches up from the plants. As i said on my journal, MH don't put out as many lumens as a HPS, so you need the MH as close to the top of the canopy as possible, without bleaching the plant.
Are you going to grow them out normally, or are you going to top, LST, SCROG, ect?

18 days from sprouting. I think I'm going to transplant this weekend.

Day 19. I just topped one of them above the 4th leaf set to even out the canopy. She's a tall one, or was.

Awesome! I was thinking long term, flowering in a room with a return air vent in it might have been a fuck up but maybe not. I just found a place online that sells carbon a/c filters. I can put one or two in front of the return air vent and maybe another one in the upflow itself!

My first two grows you could definitely smell it during flowering all over the house.

Day 20

I transplanted to 3 gallon pots this afternoon, changed to a 600w HPS, and put a waterproof tarp under the whole deal, Man, that was a lot of work! lol I set the light at about a "safe" 19" and left it there to get ready for a date with my "Hot Chick" model buddy! lol

I'll tweak it a little better (the room) in the morning,,,

Here's where I'm at now...

Lights Changed to 600w HPS at 18/6 still - 19" under the light

Soil Changed to 20% Perlite/80% FFOF

Day 20,,,

I've moved the light closer to 17", it looks pretty good there. Already seeing new growth since transplant.

Still with distilled water but I'll be changing over to ph adjusted tap water from here on. I've got a chemical ph test kit now. The other day I tested some tap water and some distilled water so I have a pretty good idea what a ph of 7 "looks like."

Thanks for stopping by alkush. I'm gonna flip it to 12/12 in a week! Still no nutes, I don't need any just yet. The fresh FFOF should be able to take me to at least a couple of weeks into flowering.

no bother man,its a buzz just watchin them at that age nd watchin them growing up in real time.I`ll be keepin an eye on this one maybe i can pick up some tip for myown along the way

your right to not use the nutes if you dont need them imo,
i dont go mad on them myself just enough to make up for the shity water and stuff we got here.i tried a few placer here for Foxfarm and none of the hydro shops stock it.
Im usin Bio Bizz,All mix myself and seems to be doin the job.

Temps and RH

I'm using the same climate control in this room as I am in the living area. The temperature differential is about 10 degrees and I'm trying to strike a balance. Too high in the room and too cool in the living area! lol I've got a air register (diffuser?) in the ceiling in the room by a wall. Today I took it out and the cool air is blowing straingt down now! I moved my circulation fan just in front of that cool air mass coming down and it blows cool air straight over the plants. The temps are probably the closest I've ever been to 75F and the RH runs 40 - 50%. I've partialy blocked the return air vent in that room which is on a wall just off the floor. Considering what I'm doing in there I may move it to the top of the wall. Heat rises and that's what I want outta there! lol
