| Re: 1st Time Grow: AF Diesel Ryder, Purple Wreck, using T5's and HPS
Yeah I love the way it bushed on me however for my next grow i'm not 100percent on how I should go about it. As it is my one plant takes up almost the entire space under my light (I have both the 150w and 250w under the same econowing). And I have 3 lemon skunk seeds, I will still probably top and lst em, I just need to be creative (or cope with having the light further away). Good problems to have, now I just have to wait the ten or so days til harvest and another week or so for drying before I get to try it. I can't wait, it's killing me. I have pulled a few hairs from the bottom branches (I didn't figure they had much chance of becoming buds by harvest time since they are poping up all over the bottom and not getting much light). But when I smoke those hairs I get high, and that gives me infinite hope for the end result for the mature bud. But yeah, it's like going from a grape to a raisn after drying, or at least that's what i've learned. I am positive it will break my heart to watch that. Also i'm not sure that drying buds in 100% dark is a great idea, even though that's what I see on this site a lot. I'm probably going to keep one of my big cfls on and not directly hitting the drying bud. I think the small risk of lowering potency is worth the essential elimination of the mold factor. Again this is all speculation, considering how I have 10 days to do nothing but contemplate. I am very excited to see your harvest pics of the blue widow. Keep me posted, i'm sure you will. Peace.

Wow Dub, she sure has one helluva nice cola man. Not too much popcorn on the bottom, but I think an oz is a great yield for quality bud like that. I'd rather have good bud and less of it, than have a huge yield of mediocre weed anyday. I suppose by now she is all jarred up and starting to smell wonderful... ![]() How much longer for the rest? How's Boo lookin'? Does it smell like it may be good? My money is still on Boo Boo to finish up better than expected. Well, I hope you are very pleased with the end product. The money and effort it took to get this far can be a strain sometimes, but we growers always manage to get what we need. Here's to bigger, and better next time. I've had a taste of the final product and never want to stop growing this magnificent herb.

Oh, I wanted to ask you something about the grow tents. I planned the space out to be a certain way. I have my exhaust to the outside on the top left. The intake on the bottom right. I can't really tell by the pictures of them on ebay. Do you know if they have them all designed one way, or can you choose R or L exhaust etc. Thanks bud, Talk to you soon.

My WW was a failure, I won't even smoke it its that bad. Besides temps, I don't know if I pulled it too late or too early or cured it wrong. I never got the smell your reporting. matter of fast my scrubber came un attached & I never knew it. January I have to try new strains, looking at a skunk or kush, or something with couch lock & yields.

Shame about your Widow man, I know you worked hard and spent plenty of cash, but eventually you'll get it right, I think winter will be much more "grow-friendly" in your neck of the woods. BTW if you're looking for "couch-lock" buds, you might consider the LSD I've been growing from Barney's Farm, a cross between a supposed really potent form of Skunk and Mazar, another popular medical strain, they say the bud is heavy-hitting Indica that measures like 24% in THC content...Peace Out my man

**JOURNAL UPDATE** Purple Wreck, Pineapple Express--Harvested Blue Widow--Comes down Saturday White Widow, LSD--Both will come down in the next 10 days BooBoo--Still sucks, waste of time and money Well, sup yall, I realize it's been a long time, but I've been working here and there, when I can find the work and stay busy. A lot has changed in the garden since my last update, my Pineapple Express was harvested over the weekend, Blue Widow was flushed and moved into the bathroom to finish out her last week, and my first round of clones started 12/12. So let's get started--The Pineapple Express harvest was pretty easy, and went well I guess. The buds are smallish in size but absolutely covered in crystals, and the whole guest bedroom smells like candy while this stuff dries...I made a nice batch of QWISO this time around with the trimmings, and it tastes sweet like the bud tastes. Yeah I already smoked some, of course. Even not really completely dried and no cure at all and this stuff tastes really sweet. Maybe a cure will do something for the potency, because in comparison to the Purple I just grew this stuff is weak! Don't get me wrong, it'll get you high as Hell, just takes a little more to get there right now. Gotta let it dry though and stop picking at it, lol. Tomorrow it should go into Mason Jars to start the cure. My White Widow and LSD plants are taking the longest to finish, but both have surprised me a great deal in terms of how I thought they'd finish. Those who have been on board for a while will remember that even at one point I had decided to kill the LSD because it got as big as a Christmas Tree, literally, but changed my mind and decided to just rope her down as best I could and let her take her chances. This turned out to be another GREAT decision. This plant now nearly 9 weeks into flowering, literally has one outer bud as big as a Pine cone, and an almost scary-looking Cola. And, oh Sweet Jesus, the smell of this one...it will hijack your nose and take it hostage...I've never smelled any weed like this, when I lean in and smell it I have visions of myself running through a giant field of the shit somewhere, laughing like a madman, lol. Oh and I suppose it's worth noting here that my spouse thinks it stinks...I just can't wait to smoke it and see if it stacks up to its supposed potency, and if it does, I've probably found a new favorite. The Nirvana White Widow is long to the finish but appears and smells to be well worth the wait. Smell is extremely strong and fruity in the little closet, and this plant's odor dominates the space really. My spouse says it smells exactly like cutting a fresh cantalope in half, I don't know bout all that, just smells super fruity to me. Okay so the bad news in all this is that the Blue Widow is like 4 days from finish and looks like shit to me. I forgot to take a picture of it today, maybe I can get one tomorrow and post it. All its fan leaves have started to yellow and wither and crumple, and none of the buds are very big, and the plant has very little in the way of smell. And what smell it does have is very citrus-like, smells lemony to me, not at all what you would expect a Blueberry-white Widow cross to smell like. Oh well, it was a free seed, so free bud more or less, and I'll have plenty of more shots to get it right as I've cloned it a couple of times now too. Oh yeah, and Booboo--these guys have definitely been pushed to the side. They look like just about what you'd expect--tiny buds, hardly any frostiness at all, no real smell. Waste of time, sticking to good seed stock in the future. Okay well onto the pics. The first 2 are old pics from the Purple Wreck harvest a couple weeks ago I forgot to post, the big nug weighed 5 grams or so. Next 4 pics are of the Pineapple Express harvest, a couple shots taken right before, and the other of the bud all hung up to dry, got 2 clothes hangers' worth of bud branches not counting the main cola. next 2 pics are the LSD plant, one pic of the main cola and the other is a pic where the giant Pine cone bud is visible if ou look. Last pic is the White Widow, enjoy! Well, drink it in GC, because there's plenty of it here. More to come. Peace ![]() ![]() |

A couple of questions from a noob dirt grower, It feels weird saying that after the last 5 months, So the PE, on the table? what size container is that? did you notice it being root bound when you pulled it? Could it a gotten bigger with bigger pots? Refresh my memory, please, what size lamps did you use? and last thing is Nutes? and Supplements? I am using the FNB one part @ 1tsp per gallon on every third feeding. So, what supplements do you advise for my dirt? Remember our Bro Toaster that put molassess in his hydro? I felt so bad for him. Thanks for taking time for me.
