There are many things to consider when taking your plants out of a sterile environment.
Weather is an issue.
You have to worry about burn from the sun.
Pests and pets are a big issue.
Your plants look really good. It seems like you are doing well indoors.
If you are in a position where you can check them regularly it can be done.
The sun is a lot stronger than cfls so I would suggest you get them acclimated to it a little at a time. The morning sun is the best to start because it is not as strong as the afternoon sun. Take them out for a two or three hours of morning sun for a few days.
If they do well then move on to six hours and so on.
Watch out for pests, they are horrible this time of year.
Great looking plants can't wait to see them finished.
Good luck!

Do you think it's too late to LST? The stem on the plants has gotten thick and I don't want to break it. I've read the LST sticky and it said to do it more when the stem is soft. I've tried bending the plant over and i'ts stiff but still bends.

Re: Pineapple ::CFL Indoor Grow::

I know the tutorial on LST shows how to do a "spiral" type of lst, but I did mine differently. With all the questions I'm getting, I think I should just build another tutorial. Check my signature by the end of the day, there will be a new tutorial link

As for the spiral tutorial, yes, you did it properly.

Re: Pineapple ::CFL Indoor Grow::

Finally upgraded to 12 6500k bulbs for a total of 324 watts, I think this should be more than enough lighting for two plants.

My plant wasn't big enough to tie it down 4 ways, some of my side branches wouldn't reach the ground to tie down. Your method looks really good though.

Re: Pineapple ::CFL Indoor Grow::

The big key to that tutorial is that you HAVE to pluck the 5th leaf set. This turns the main stalk into a "Y". THOSE are the 2 arms you bend once they grow a bit

Looks good the way you have them, keep us posted and GOOD LUCK!!

Re: Pineapple ::CFL Indoor Grow::

Hey man your LST is looking fine. I have pretty steady pictures of lsted plants on my journal if you ever get nervous and need to see someone elses first shot and LSTing. Anyway, if your doing the spiral method like me, make sure to account for the lower branches which are gonna get pretty damn big and take up room,

Re: Pineapple ::CFL Indoor Grow::

I bought some organic potting soil and transplanted my plants into bigger pots yesterday. Today I realized that there WASN'T any perlite in the mix after I already planted I had to take all the dirt out the pots (in a carpeted room) and mix the perlite to make sure I wouldn't get root rot. FUNNN

Re: Pineapple ::CFL Indoor Grow::

Day 34
Fan leaves turning yellow?? They are curling and have brown edges. I've even diluted my nutrient water to make sure it's not too strong.

2nd plant is growing a lot slower and has a few orange/brown spots.

Re: Pineapple ::CFL Indoor Grow::

do you check the PH of your nutes when you feed?
