Heres some budshots for day 34 of flowering (4wks6days). I just cant seem to capture the essence of the bud with my older 3.2 megapixel cam. Not to mention the HPS saturates the color to orange... Anyone have advise on what lighting would be good for taking budshots? So far my best looking plants are the Afghans and my shiskaberry. I cant wait for the last couple weeks of flowering when they really start to swell and goo up.

Hey GC, Today is day 40 of flowering and my girls are starting to fatten up and sweat abit. I went out and got a scope from radioshack today and i was suprised at how well it worked. Im pretty sure all my triches where clear but i can tell its going to be hard to tell if there milky or clear so ill just wait till i see a few ambers before I chop. Ill start flushing in a day or two, to get them nice and fresh. I finally got some decent pics that arent saturated with hps hues, enjoy and let me know what you think.

I guess g-13 is a 6 week flowering strain. I looked it up at a few places and this was confirmed. The triches were about 1/4 amber and it started throwing a few banana shoots so I harvested. Its drying now and in a week or two ill have some pics. I was able to get about a week of flushing in before she was cut down.

Well i got it to work, I guess one of the pictures was buged or something.

This is my shiskaberry at day 54 of flowering. Her trichs are all looking milky but there still is no ambers as of yet. Once there are about a third amber trichs is when i will harvest. There is also an abundance of white hairs still too.

This is one of my afghani's. Its actually the smallest one of the bunch. I grabed this one because it was easier to move to a spot where i can take good pics.

The genetics of this plat are amazing. It is 100% indica and it shows. The leaves are very dark green, and the buds are very dense. It has a strong chemical/hash smell to it. I threw these afghan clones into flowering when they were about 12-14 inches tall. I topped one to see how it did and left the rest alone.

I did this to test how good the strain would do in a SOG. I have heard this strain performs well in SCROG but wasnt sure about SOG. I am glad i did this because the plants are perfect for SOG they grow to be one large very dense cola. The one I toped did very well too, though the buds werent as big. The stalks are very thick almost tree like but the buds still weighed them down so i did have to shore them up.

EDIT: I also want to add that i had some Powdery mildew in my grow room and these plants didnt get touched, they seem to be very easy to grow and resistant to mold and disease. but they are sensitive when it comes to the ferts.

So did you harvest all those awesome plants? I have grown the afghani and loved it, Im gonna buy some seeds from attitude called mama mia, sweet indica strain..

Ya i harvested them all. The afghani turned out to be awsome weed. Im def going to grow it again. Im thinking of doing a bubble bucket scrog or soil SOG in 2 gal grow bags. the afghanis where only veged for 2 weeks but seemed to out produce all my other plants (except the shisk) that were veged for 4 weeks. The buds are still curing but the buds i have tried where good. Im happy with my first indoor and i am ready to go at it again!

I still need a couple thing before my next run. HTG currently has a 6 '' 400+ CFM inline/carbon filter combo that i am going to order, along with a aircooled hood. I did have problems with temps and smell. Would it be a bad idea to run the filter and cool the hood with the same ductwork and 1 inline? my grow room measures 175 cubic feet.

I run my hood with one 6" duct open and the other side has the duct and the fan, I dont run a filter cause I vent to under my house. I dont have any smell problems but I live at the beach and its always windy. Are you going to vent into your house or to the outside?

If you or anyone else is having problems with gray mold(botrytis) take a small metal coffee can and locate at either a garden store or Indoor Grow store for LIQUID SULFUR, or Sulfer tablets that dissolve in water. Tie and a hang the coffee can containg sulfur in your closet above your hid light ( might smell like egg farts) but dissolving sulfur into a vapor will halt and kill gray powdery mold,

Organically you can add aged horse poop. Aged Horse fecals, around 2-3 year old horse crap ammended to your potting soil with help ward off gray mold and other plant cellulos attaking molds, while at the same time adding nutes in light doses mostly Nitrogen and some potassium not much though.

I have seen sulfer burners that kind of look like what you just described at my local grow supply. Never thought about making my own and just using the heat from the hid to evaporate the sulfer. Thanks for the advice, it will definetly be put to good use. It seems like everyone around here this year have been having powdery mildew problems Even the very sofisticated grows. I didnt have any trouble with gray mold since moving indoors, but it was my number one enemy outdoor... My buddy just lost a few big colas to the rot a few weeks ago so ill let him know about the sulfer method if he has more problems with it.

As soon as i have some time I will post some pics of the finished product. I personally wasnt impressed but Im a picky person that probably expected too much for what my setup and indoor experience was. All my friends like it so maybe it aint that bad. It just seemed like it wasnt as trich covered as it could have been. Im pretty sure it was because of the temps. It averaged at about 85-86. So for my next run i will use an air cooled hood. I really wouldnt have got this far though if it wasnt for the community on this website and there willingness to help other people.

I plan to vent into the house and kill 2 birds since winters fast aproaching and its getting cold. But you cant beat getting stoned and watching the storms roll in off the ocean.
