Nice looking. Is the Katsu cut in reference to the coffeeshop? What exactly is your medium cocoa and perlite? Thanks for the update.

Well, the Katsu cut was gifted to me by a friend, but Katsu is the user name of the guy who bought a Bubba Kush S1 cut from orgnkid and redistributed it... but I am no strain history major, that's just what Google brought up.

My medium is just straight Fox Farms Ocean Forest, not much of a soil guy and that was the best anyone could recommend.. and I must say it's done extremely well for all of the plants I've ever grown in it. I usually can water for about 4 weeks with just RO and be OK before I start seeing deficiencies, it's definitely a great mix.

Cool, just was in a coffeeshop in the Dam named Katsu, they had some kick ass blueberry and NL5. Any fruitfly issues in that medium? Why the change to bio? or is that just your mother plants?
I like what you say about seeing how long you can go without feeding, seems most people go the other route and push their plants and wait to see nute burn. Wish more people thought that way. There is something about the smell and flavor that is watered down with pushed plants IMO. Nice grow, happy harvesting.

I had some gnats when I had a flowering room full of soil. Since then I've gotten rid of all of it and am only using it for my mothers at the moment. I haven't noticed any bugs.

Yeah I do that because I don't want my mothers to grow too fast, I only have a 215W T5 for the veg room, and that's expected to do 4 mothers and a clone machine.

I love finding proper pucker grow set-ups like this. Not just cheapest as u can make it.
Well done on your progress.

I see the equipment is top notch esp. with an RO machine and the full range on Advanced Nutrients. May i also suggest u look into some Connoisseur for your next bloom cycle.

I actally steered away from Advanced Nutrients as the Grow and Bloom i bought over the internet had solids in the liquid and was spiking my ppm off the chart. so i switch to Canna. But i'm still using all the addatives like your big bud and bud blood etc...

Are u keeping to the AN calculator or are u using 1/2 doses? or your own spin on it?

I've never really been known to go the cheap route with anything I've done. I've always learned you get what you pay for, so undercutting anything to save a few bucks just isn't me.

I've looked into AN's connoisseur line and might use it in the near future... but right now they've come out with a whole new set of bundles which are:

I've only not been able to locate Bud Factor X, but I assume it'll become available before I crop out. The whole "stack" will have me right about at 1k per reservoir for nutrients. I use the AN calculator fairly closely, but the res change I just did got a little different treatment. I lowered the PPM's about 200.... 1200 down to 1066. For some reason when I tried to go full throttle my tips got burned and the the PPM and pH were all over the place. 1066 is a little more stable and I'll probably use it as my cap for now on.

I've read that half doses do the same thing, but I need a big yield this run and can't afford to mess it up over experimentation. I'm sure in the near future I'll run at half values, but for the time being, I'll push em' as far as they'll let me.

Solids in your nutes? What site did you buy your nutes from, if you don't mind me asking?

DOn't yell at me too much but i got them from a hydroshop on EGAY. And i don't recommend it, although the good thing that came out of it.
I'm on a 1st name basis with my local hydro guy now who is a bundle of knowledge.

Haha, I've only been to my local shop twice, and both of those times were for soil. Those places sketch me out to the point I think it's safer to just order online... although ebay is equally as sketch, lol.... but hey, you live, you learn.

pH is really starting to swing, a couple leafs have some twist going on because of it. I guess Advanced Nutrients are spiky all the way through...

Trichome productions has really started to kick in within the last week or two.

Everything else is going great, they are still healthy and growing vigorously!
