My first Grow ( with pics) updated 6.26.09

Hey whats up fellow blade, I have been reading up for a while and finally decided to start my own crops I bult a little set up out of a rubermaid box. These babys are from some seeds I scored off of my dealer who got them on line. I am running 4 23 watt daylight Cfl's and 2 23 watt soft whites. I put the ladies in the soil on the 18th. So far I think they are doing good. Take a look and let me know what you think. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I hope to update weekly so check back to watch the ladies grow!!!

I think they are looking pretty healthy for a week. what do you think.

I think they are looking good my friend. Nice and green. Just keep that light close, the temp in the 70's, and the water at the correct pH and they'll do fine.

so far so good. i trust you have the right spectrum lights in there for vegging. right? those first pictured lights are 2700k. then i see you have some 6500k so i guess you got it under control. :P

Here are my ladies on day 7 some of them look a litte droopy any advice?? I might just be a little paranoid since it is my first grow. Here are some pics of the lovely girls

Well it has been a while since I updated my journal been working 13 + hours a day been kinda busy. So these girls had a rough start, I had alumin foil on the walls of my box, overwatered them, and found out that the tap water I had been feeding them with has a ph of 8.0

Since then I have took down my foil and painted the box flat white, bought a ph meter, and a humidifier. Temp stays around 77 mostly the higest being 84. RH stays around 44. I have seen a explosion of new growth after changing the grow box and using Superthrive.

I think I am addicited to growing you can learn so much and I have gotten pretty attached to the little ones. Anyways here is the pics of the girls ( I hope )

I can not wait to pack a bowl of buds that I grew myself. I have been bitten by the mj growing bug. Good luck to all you growers out there

Plants are looking great after that close call! How many days has it been since sprout? When do you plan on transplanting them? Keep up the good work!

it has been about 28 day since sprouting they are kind of small for that but their first weeks were very rough. I plan to transplant in a few weeks.

great job so far and congrats for overcoming the difficulties with ph and all that.

i would transplant them ASAP though. it won't be too long before they are too big for those cups...... plus, the light can get right through those clear ones and shine on the roots which is bad. at least get them all in the opaque red cups.

Yea I know but the roots dont hold the soil together so I am affraid that if i try to move them I will disrupt the soil and hurt some of the roots. I Think I will cover the outside with some duct tape for a quick fix.

Ok today is day 26 I just transplanted the little babies into thier new homes, and decided to lst them. I will just let the pics do all the talking. No other real changes

hey buddy they are looking much better, do you have drainage holes in the pots..
and you are so right, the first time I got blazed on the stuff I started from seeds was the best. I will never buy weed again, and not to brag but I could never get weed that was as good as I grow. your off to a good start, be anal about that PH and monitor your run off as well..

yes sir i cut about 6 drain holes there so I think they are gonna do well. I ph checked my water its at 6.5. Tested my run off it was at 6.8-7 I think. So far so good I am super excited to watch them grow. I am getting pretty attached. I hope they look as half as good as your harvest. Thanks for the support brother. happy Growing
