Re: WW 1st grow in Texas Heat

Texas huh. Ive spent some time in the DFW area. My mom and sister live in Arlington. i am on the Atlantic coast now I took my wife to Fort Worth for Thanksgiving with my mom a few years back. I got drunk in the stock yards, and my wife wanted a picture of me on a long horn. Well I climbed on and immediately fell off of the other side lol. It was an excellent photo opportunity but it happened so quick no one got a picture, and I didn't attempt to get back on that thing lmao.
Anyway, I think rumples buckets would work great in a recirculating DWC with a separate res. I am going to convert mine to RDWC next week using one of those round, orange igloo coolers as my res. Will still have to use the frozen bottles in the res but i think it will work well, and keep the temps down.

I'm ready for easy,

I was going to wait till 4:20
Now I'm not....

I just transplanted a widow from the veg bucket to dirt. I buried the 4" net pot & HT in there too...this will just go out in the yard till the first freeze sometime in January. Outside is on 12/12 ....LOL
Let my rephrase that, pots that are 3 gallons each. Instead of three gallon pots.

Another Gem from IM! I'm going to go with 5 gallons next time if for no other reason than I can take a weeks vacation. My first grow I had 6"- 8" pots and I was able to scoot away for a few days but no longer than that after DRENCHING the girls before I left and I was well into flowering and the vertical growth upwards had stopped.

5 gallon pots (buckets or pails is what they call them) at Lowe's, $2.34 each. love it

You can get the cheaper 5 gallon container from the Hydro store for under a buck. its the same buckets plants come in from the nurseries.

Re: WW 1st grow in Texas Heat

S'up Y'all? Looking a lil different over here huh?
So how do you base the age of a plant? these are 19 days old since they were first cut & put into the "Clone Machine" and 7 days in dirt under the T5's & 18/6.
I guess all that's important is the 7 days veggin.
I'm thinking these will Veg for one more week, then throwing the switch to 12/12. I don't want these as big as they got in BB's.
And Right now, I'm thinking I want to try to finish under T5's if I can get 8 5gallon buckets in the tent. This will become a SOG in a 2x4 tent with 8 White Widows.

OK i had to post another pic.

OMG, your set-up is the shit bro'! The ladies look just awesome!
You're doing great in the soil. I'm glad to see you're still posting! I'm interested in this grow.

May I ask you this, so far which method is easier? Why?

Re: WW 1st grow in Texas Heat

Looking real good 77 Is WW the only strain you grow? What is your success rate with your Widow clones? A good friend of mine bought 1 feminized WW seed from World Wide Seeds, and grew it as a mother. After many failed attempts at cloning the widow, he finally got 1 clone to take root. He flowered it and the mother, and hasn't messed with WW since. Is there a trick to cloning the WW?
Is this a new room you got going or have you given up on the hydro all together? Anyway, everything is looking good bro

I got some Dinafems growing too, Cloning I have a 100% rate with anything, I can clone a pencil if I want to, But I too think I'm done with the White Widow after these. My first Hydro was not that rewarding, so I have to try my hand at dirt with the same strain just so I'll know. The Widow is a slow flowering plant, but I've read so much about this That I had to try it.

Tell your good friend to build Rumples Clone Machine & he'll never have a hard time cloning again.

Same Room, I have just added a 2x4 tent which barely fits my 2x4 T5's. The 400 watter is still going with the same BB's from the beginning of this thread but If I don't get better results I'll ditch the BB's for bags of FFOF next time.

The Rumple Cloner is nearly fool-proof for clones, a top-notch investment for anybody having problems with clones...

I'm real interested to know just how well T5's will flower good pot. I'd like to simplify my whole set-up, even if it means growing a little less, and some of my Ideas for doing this involve maybe building a cabinet and using a mix of T5's and a small HPS for flowering...those clones look really good man, real healthy...take it easy bro

Re: WW 1st grow in Texas Heat

Lookin' nice 77,
Question: How many RCB (Rumple-Clone-Bucket) fans does it take to clone a #2 pencil?

Answer: Including this one, 3. One to build the bucket, another to rear the clone, and a third to make sure they all get really stoned

Using a tent or a cabinet to veg & flower in would be very simple, but we need a place for the cloner & a mother or two. Thats as simple as it gets.

I am just now looking at this post, from a link in my thread, I beg to differ about topping White Widow. I have seen awesome results from topping during veg. I do not believe in topping during the flowering stage but in veg it gives your plant plenty of time to recover. Look at all the plants I have topped. All are White Widow!!!
