My cfl Grow, Roadrunner, Easy ryder and Blue hash plant

First off a little background.

This is try #2. First time was some years ago.
I was on overgrow, had a grow journal then overgrow got shutdown. 3 days later the police came knocking on my door (about something totally unrelated) Paranoia set in and I got rid of everything.

Now that I look back on it its quite funny.

So anyway here I am.

Right now I am using 4-26 watt cfl's, adding more soon. Using soil. Will be switching to hps when flowering or if they begin to slow I will switch up to the hps for the rest of the veg cycle. Last time I used CFL's for veg my plants ended up being monsters. I was amazed.

So yeah here are the babies, one seems great, one handicapped, one yellowing tips and 1 runt. Soil ph seems to be at 6.5, but my tap water is wayyy too high. Will be picking up some PH down tomorrow.

Germed seeds were put in soil on may 4th, all popped on the 5th and here they are today.

In the pics all look to be yellowing, but that's the camera.

Criticism is welcome and encouraged.

Re: My half ass cfl/hps bagseed grow...

Picked up some fox farms grow big, general hydroponics ph adjuster kit and added more cfl's. I'll post some more pics tomorrow.

Re: My half ass cfl/hps bagseed grow...

Tested my runoff for the first time today 6.4

And here is the whole ghetto setup. Its crap but it doesn't have to be stealth. The temps are always great. I can have the bulbs an inch from the plants with zero problems so far.

In the long run it will go in a storage room. First I need to clean it and paint the walls with kills.

What'd ya think? My buddy says the are looking great for only being 9 days old.

Re: My half ass cfl/hps bagseed grow...

Half ass update...

Been going through the trial and error process. The worst looking plant ended up outside in the garden. I transplanted the 2 best looking plants into a mix of about 50/50 FFOF and perlite. The runt is still in a beer cup, probably going outside this week.

Gave my first 1/4 dose of grow big last week, they seemed to love it. So I was a dumb ass and gave them a 1/2 dose this week. and the new growth has the dreaded claw.

What do you blades think I should do? Flush or just let it buck and just give straight ph balanced water the next couple waterings?

Re: My half ass cfl/hps bagseed grow...

Nothing too interesting to add.

Everything seems to be going ok. Got them in a new room. 184 watts of cfl.

Did some LST last week. the main stem on one is about 14" and the other about 12"

Re: My half ass cfl/hps bagseed grow...

Day 42 of vegging.

Welcome to another installment of the city's most unpopular grow journal.

So here they are at day 42. They are looking a little droopy, I was out of town for the weekend. When I left the soil was fairly moist. When I came back it was bone dry.

I am switching to 12/12 on Friday or Saturday. Crossing my fingers for atleast one lady.

I started LST at about 1 month. They were 10 and 12 inches tall. If I were to LST again I would start a bit earlier as my main stem was pretty thick at 30 days. I am surprised it worked for me.

The "white ropes" are just a thick string I use to tie my plants down. I cut a long piece and instead of tying I loop the string around my branches and tape both cut ends to my pots. That way if I don't like a change I've made its easily undone.

Re: My half ass cfl/hps bagseed grow...

Day 45

Tied them down one last time before flowering. HPS isn't working correctly, so I am going to attempt to finish with only CFL's. Sometime in the next week I will switch to 12/12. If anyone reading this has any tips for when I switch to 12/12 feel free to share.

Main stems are 17 and 18 inches long, bic lighter in pic to give you an idea of size.

Also a pic of what I am currently smoking on.
