First Grow, Femmed White Widow, CFL's, Stealth Grow

NOTE: Everything I post in this forum is fictional. I have collected the images from various internet sources, and this entire thread is dedicated to my imagination.

Alright everyone, this is my first grow journal as well as my first grow. I designed my own grow cab utilizing a cabinet I already had in the house. I ran some power to it, set up some ventilation and CFL's after much brainstorming, and VIOLA! I had a grow cab.

About the plants:
Seedsman seeds from the Attitude. Femmed White Widow (I know, i know, first grow, but hey? Go big or go home, and I was high when i ordered them.)
Currently they are in 1 gal pots in MG Organic Soil (transplanting soon, dont kill me) with about 40% perlite. I am watering them when they need it, feeding every other watering with Fox Farms nutes according to their soil schedule. They are under 6 27 watt CFL's, 5 of the 6200k or whatever the K is and 1 2700K.

The Cabinet is 3 feet tall, 2 feet wide, and 1 foot deep.

They have just begun LST as of last night. pictures are below. Enjoy
i have much hope for Plant 1. it is leafy and healthy. Plant 2 is not as bulky, but still doing good, minus the slight yellowing in the last picture

Im likin the set up. Nice & simple, yet very effective

WW's def. a sensitive strain, from what i've heard, but there's many experienced growers on here who i know will be able to help you out if you encounter any problems throughout the grow

expect the worst, hope for the best, i always say, lol. Took me 3 grows to get one to both show pistils AND go all the way to harvest.

can't wait to see the progression of em, man! I apologize if i don't reply too much, i try to stay away from the journal section more now because it tempts me so much to want to start up another grow. But it would be smart for me to wait till october

haha well technically, this is my third grow. the first 2 were outdoors, and they both failed. miserably. i have yet to get a pH meter, but i will soon. ive got a well, and both of the plants seem to like the well water, probably a bit better than city tap water.

i designed the set up myself. cab was free, paint was free, 20 bucks on CFLs, 20 on PVC, 20 on soil and pots, 20 on fans. not bad for only 80 bucks.

and i live by your "expect the worst, hope for the best phrase. makes it much easier in the end

that sucks about the first 2 grows. But you know what they say, 3rd times a charm!

i didn't use a pH meter my whole grow, if you'r careful w/ your nutes, you'll be fine

thats about how much i spent on my grow space and it worked just fine. I actually used a moving box from Uhaul, lol! One of the ones designed for packaging hanging clothes. So there's a metal bar that goes across the top - perfect for hanging lights from

thanks classy, currently i got the nutes at 1/4 strength. ill probably bump them up to half in a week or so. i actually need to transplant them soon. they responded to the LST better than i thought

That's a slick thermometer, man. I like how it has the high and low right on the screen without having to push any buttons.

UPDATE:

plants are doing good so far. the second one still has those slight yellow spots, but its growing good nonetheless. the girls have certainly grown since last time. they're probably getting a feeding tomorrow depending on the dampness of the soil.

i need to transplant soon, im at the second hook for LST; it should be beginning to go around the large pot, not the tiny one. hopefully ill be able to do that soon

i just finished transplanting the plants into 3 gallon pots. they just fit into the cabinet! it didnt go as smoothly as i thought, mainly because i didnt know what i was doing. the second plant was easier to transplant after the first one though.

i re-LST'd them using paper clips instead of the coat hangers i was using prior, which were not working very well.

they are now in a mix of miracle grow organic and lady bug organic. hopefully the lady bug will help the growth, since the MG seemed to be holding it back a bit.

Aside from the spots, those are bloody gorgeous. Currently growing some WW myself but they're much less... robust than your ladies.

How far along are they?

why thank you gyt. unfortunately my lady number 1 isnt doing too great. ill upload pictures soon when i get the chance. as you can see i did a transplant, but i think i injured #1 in the process. a lot of her leaves are getting yellow and crispy. i fear i might have accidentally severed part of the room system. i need to post her in sick plants and see what i get

number 2, who was originally the runt, is doing much better. shes getting very leafy and growing quite nicely.
