Just an update, looking good. Will start LST once the next set starts to come up.

Looks like it just might be pretty strongly indica based

Re: First grow: closet CFLs

I transplanted after like 1 week. It was still a sprout and I did it real quick with no problems.

Here's an update:
seems like node spacing isn't turning out to be a problem as of now.

Re: First grow: closet CFLs

LST for the first plant. I just got a timer and might go down to 18-6 light. I'll have it under that for a while before I flower which will mean probably autoflowering the sprouts that just grew their second set of serrated leaves.

Re: First grow: closet CFLs

An update:
-I lined the box with foil (hot spots shouldn't be an issue, but I'll keep an eye on it)
-I added another bulb putting me @ 117w of CFL with 5 bulbs.
-LSTing is continuing, you can see the lower branches blowing up.

The third picture is of the LST from the top. The circle is where the stem grew upwards out of soil, the red line is where the main stem is hooked down now and the blue line is the planned growth of the main stem.

any advice or things to watch for?

Re: First grow: closet CFLs

What do you have going on for ventilation?

I just added a full system to my flowering setup and it made a HUGE difference in growth within a couple days.

I'll be watching. Best of Luck!

Check this out. Maybe you can swing it another way and make it work for your setup.

Re: First grow: closet CFLs

Funny you would ask, I just opened a larger vent hole, replaced the crappy dinky fan with a 4" high velocity and added a DIY carbon scrubber attached to it as the output. I'm not sure how well its ventilating because my carbon scrubber is ghetto and its hard for the fan to push through it, but I'm keeping an eye on temperatures and the air has no where else to go so...

I was thinking about just putting a carbon scrubber at the base of the cab once I pic my one lady I am keeping, then I'd seal up the hole and it would just clean the air in the cab completely. That would kinda take away air exchange though so I dont know if i can do that.

Re: First grow: closet CFLs

I might be misunderstanding something here.. I have been drinking... But you are saying you want to begin the flowering process shortly after the third set of leaves??

No.
