Hey BUD, great to see ya. My DIY stuff is usually poorly designed and averagely built, getting better with each incarnation. Practice makes failure a shallower cut and easier to accept LOL

The Sweet Tooth info. was news to me as well. amoril is one dogged and tenacious detective

Got some nug shots comin' up shortly

Yeah, but only in the vein of your unyielding ability to dig up the bones of truth

The stash has me excited. With El Niño threatening to grinch the white from my christmas, i'm hoping to replace it with plenty o' green and gold

Got a pretty big batch of bubble comin' up sometime soon as well.

-----

I had my eye on MK10 pretty early on iirc. When you're ready to let her date, let me know, i'll be gentle

She kinda has a tinge of coloring to her that i've seen on Rez's plants. Must be something about the recipe.

The Hindu Kush never impressed me much. Small plants with small buds. Here's some popcorn

yeah, I see the color coming out on the leaves. that purple/red tint...IMO, its a gorgeous thing when it happens. Usually, its near the end of feeding / start of flushing (at least in my experience)

iirc, its due to the lack of nitrogen, when compared to other macronutes, at that point in the life cycle.
----------------------

that widow is packin the trichs on like the worlds gonna end...unless, she gets coated LMAO.

seriously though, it definately has some similarity to the famed widow pics around...maybe not as much in bud structure, but in the overall beauty, definatley.

Re: NL#5 - Old habits and new toys

Well as you can see, she is a stretchy one. Lots of space between nodes. She got her last feeding about 3-4 days ago iirc and your speculation is spot on timing wise, i just started flushing yesterday.

The trichs are definitely better than on the NL IMO (comparable to the GPH), but it's the smell that gives me wood.

The structure i'm attributing to my haphazard topping/training skills and lack of experience with the strain. Seems as though they'd do better with alot more topping.... fewer sticks and more stumps.

-----

BTW, did i mention i switched to a 600w HPS (EasyCool reflector) from the two 400's. I needed those 200w elsewhere and the two cooltubes were just unwieldy, not to mention overkill. It'll also give me an opportunity to see just how much difference can be had between a 400w and a 600w once i get a good strain dialed in..... i'll just change ballasts & bulbs and leave the reflector and wires in place.

Re: NL#5 - Old habits and new toys

so, does that mean youre abandoning the CMH then?

or, re-assigning it to vegetate??

Oh no, i've grown fond of the CMH. With the new reflector it'll be a snap to change the bulbs. The ballasts (400w & 600w) are all centralized, so i can pick and choose.

I have thought about trying to stuff a CMH into one of my small cabs, but that's cutting it close on my wattage ceiling and i'd have to tie it into my venting. More hassle. I'm still giddy at the job the PL-L's are doing so i'll only revisit that idea if necessary.

Most likely, i'll veg with a 400w CMH then switch to the 600w HPS..... in the main cab. Who knows, i might add a 600w MH into the mix to see what's what.

Re: NL#5 - Old habits and new toys

Thanx SLINGER,

Ok, ok, it's pretty dank. But i'm lookin' at alot of trich stalks under the loupe. I'd rather see more of the glandular, capitate-stalked, Disco-Balls

That, and after comparing these to my pics of the GPH, this NL just doesn't hold a candle. The BW should put the NL to shame though. About a week 'till harvest

Re: NL#5 - Old habits and new toys

Thrips were doing this to my plants

Thrips-1.jpg
Thrips-2.jpg
Thrips-3.jpg
Thrips-4.jpg
Thrips-5.jpg
(I'm pretty sure these were Western Flower Thrips -(Frankliniella occidentalis)-) like these --->

So i did this to the thrips

Thrips-6.jpg

No more thrips after 24 hours It's been roughly 3 days, still no sign of the fu@kers

I'll be happy to dispose of that NL for free if it isn't to your likings.
