McGee's auto AK47 X auto Hindu Kush Indoor

Ok so this may be a bit premature, but I have started setting everything up and taking pictures so I thought I would get this going now.

This is my second grow and my first with good genetics. So please feel free to take a seat and check it out as I hopefull grow some killer buds!

Here is what I will be working with for this grow:

Lowlife Ak47 x Auto Hindu Kush F1 Automatic


New Automatic AK47 x Automatic Hindu Kush Seeds per pack : 10 Type : Autoflowering, sativa/indica F1 hybrid Height : 12 – 18 inches Harvest date : 10 weeks from seed Yield : 20 – 30g per plant Ideal light regime : 20/4 from seed to harvest Ideal pot size : 5 – 7litres Environment : Indoors/Outdoors Effect : Mixed high/couchlock Along with the experimental Automatic AK47 x Automatic Blueberry F1 hybrid we also made an F1 hybrid of Automatic AK47 x Automatic Hindu Kush and were so delighted with the results that we are now pleased to add another strain to our autoflowering F1 range. Our initial testers reported back to us of a bushy, medium to heavy yielding auto showing a desirable blend of AK47 and Hindu Kush traits. Turns out they were telling the truth as our own grow tests showed exactly that! The Automatic AK47 brings height and branching while the Automatic Hindu Kush adds even more resin and tightens up the buds. There’s nothing more to say, 2 excellent autoflowering hybrids merged into one super auto hybrid!


Grow Space


I am using the back half of a walk in closet that I section off with some Panda Poly to create my grow space. I think it is pretty cleaver and I hope the pictures will do justice to the work I have put into getting this space ready.



Lights

150 HPS exhausted through a cool tube using a 171 cfm inline fan

Eventually I will upgrade to a 400W MH/HPS exhausted through a air coolable reflector using my 171cfm inline fan. I just need to buy the hood/reflector

I won't be able to germinate these seeds for another 8 days or so. For now I have been doing dry runs of the setup and temps have been steady at 70F.

Please feel free to give me any advice or comments you have on things so far. I will be sure to give an update as soon as the seeds hit the paper towel!!!

may i ask why you put the bottom flap there? looks like a like leak would be guaranteed i would think.....

i constructed my PVC cabinet a while back, but i'm still not sure what way would be the best to wrap it up with panda film. like leak paranoia

I have had to exercise some serious patience to not germ these seeds yet. Im going up to da UP next week and when I get back they are hittin the paper towel.

As of right now I have three seeds in a bag with some green bananas. Im not sure about how true this is but I thought I mind as well give it a try.

mrej - im not too sure the flap is really serving any purpose at this point. i could have just cut it off and it would probably be the same. it may be hard to tell but i cut the panda film in a sqaure shape and filled it with a double layer of carbon filter material. anyway, im growing an auto flowering strain so the light cycle is not an issue in this case. if i were growing a regular strain i would be much more careful with keeping it light tight.

yeah bro thats gotta be it. someone got blazed and put a banana in after harvest. first dude to smoke it was like "damn this is some monkey paw bud!" rofl:D

UPDATE

One seed has popped!

So Sunday night I threw three seeds into a paper towel and less than 24 hours later one had already opened up and shown a little root. I checked a couple hours later and to my surprise the little root was already a quarter inch long. I watered pot #1 and put her in her new home! All the seedlings are going into FF Happy Frog to start.

Seeds #2 and #3 are still yet to open but one looks like it might be ready to bust so Im gonna leave alone till tomorrow to see how it goes.

Here are some pics of my box I made for my first grow. I think with a couple small additions it makes a great home for seedlings. There are 4 5500K 23w CFLs and 2 2700K(maybe?) 17w(maybe? heh!) CFLs in a homemade fixture. I'm also using an inline duct booster for ventilation. I bought a plastic storgae container at Wal Mart and it work great as a humidome.

For now Im just waiting for the other two seeds to germ and letting the current lone seedling enjy her new home!

Any comments or suggestions or anything else for that matte are always welcome and appreciated!

Good News

The last two seeds were ready to plant this morning!

What is an optimal temp. to keep my seedlings at. Esp. right now before they pop through the soil?

The dome is keeping the humidity around 68 right now but the temps are around 85 and I feel that is too hot. I may prop the dome up a bit to let some better airflow through.

Sorry for the shitty pics...seeds are small and I was in a hurry! lol.

I'm sure your temps are fine, prop the dome up if you're worried, I'm sure they will grow without the dome if you need.

I put the dome on to try and keep humidity up obviously but if they don't need I might take it out. I left the doors to the box open and temps are around 80 now and RH is around 85.
