Homer's 09 Grow.

Grow for 09 peoples.

we have 5 plants this year.
using seedling raising soil mixed with perlite.
using advanced nutrients
water with 6.5 ph water every few days
the straw in the top is actally sugar cane mulch and is excellent at keeping in the moisture.
stick around for more, as the grow grows on. Also this year i'm letting them go straight and tall instead of previous years of many toppings.

I am also experimenting with a home made hydro box i made the other day becasue i was bored and a little baked, and recently bought a Hydrogarden to play with.... so we'll see how everything goes.

thanks for clicking in .....

Re: Homer's 09 Grow.

thanks NOMiS :-), comments are much appreciated.

yes the last grow was a good one, but i made a few little mistakes like overwatering and tooooo much topping, i had to repot the 5 after i over fed them with nutes. so I flushed them out and repotted them in new soil with some blood and bone which has really woke them up. I'll get some new pics up soon as the fan leaves are really huge now.

I found the topping was good to grow a bush of weed. But it's a real bitch when it comes to harvesting a bush. I'm going for straight and tall this time around so i can just manicure 1 fattty bud.

Homer's 09 Grow.

Hello again everyone,

Progress is going well, i'm feeding with nutes once every 5 waterings. andd i water about once every 3 days at the moment.
As you can see the fan leaves are all nice and healthy, these are going straight up and will get pretty tall befor budding.
I've got lots of nutes for flowering so i'm aiming for biggest buds, thick and heavy.
See u all soon.

Re: Homer's 09 Grow.

I just looked over your last grow journals. Pretty neat man! I'm looking forward to seeing the difference between topping and not topping. I'm going to be growing in a closet, so ill probably have to top. GL!!

To be honest i didn't follow a strict plan for nutrients. But i made up nutrients on the bases of 1. when they needed to be watered 2. when they had received nutrients last.
On a rough rule i left them about 2 weeks between feeding.

Re: Homer's 09 Grow.

Just to let u all know, that i went off the map due to getting a bit paranoid about posting my success with it. And some changes to my backyard, which now i can't grow out there due to losing privacy.
But i'm 6 weeks into an indoor Aerogarden grow...so i'll get some pics of that.

The results were good, but nowhere near what i got off the Topped grow. So my recommendation is if you don't mind the manual labour of clipping at harvest time, then top your plants for a heavier harvest.

it's not a question of 'if' i'll be growing, just 'where'.... and i've found some space.
