400w Jack Herer Indoor Organic

Hey everybody, I'm back once again after spider mites killed my last batch. Now with everything rearranged I can get started again. Got 3 Jack Herers as a gift all growing in the same 2" dish. I was amazed they were alive. Transplanted into Dr. Earth Organic potting mix with 15% perlite. They seem stable now, but the stems are very thin (must have been the tiny cup they were growing in before). Here's what they look like now.

Re: 400w Jack Herer Indoor Organic

Some more small things: I have a blue led panel which i found works incredible during the veg cycle in addition to the hps. They are in an 18-6 light cycle right now, and they were transplanted 2 days ago. The stems are much stronger compared to right after the transplants, so I believe they have rooted OK. Heres some more fun pics.

They look Awesome man , Dr. Earth Organic potting mix(http://store.emerysgarden.com/drepottingsoil.html) Ingrediants look Great. How are your temps running? I Like the led panel. K+ man looking good. How long have they been going. They're gonna fill out before you know it, Watch that fan ya got it's good for now but don't let it hit the leaves directly and never change position, rotateing fans are the best.

Hows that exhaust duct work look?

Re: 400w Jack Herer Indoor Organic

The temps are doing well...set up a fairly ghetto, yet good working ventilation system. Running around the mid 70's. The plants were only transplanted two days ago. They came as a gift in a tiny cup with four of them (one died after transplant). They had been going for only a few weeks before that but their growth was stunted due to the ridiculous pot size. I'm surprised any survived to tell you the truth. But stems are strengthening and they look much better. I'm expecting a 4 week veg or so.

Thanks for the comment.

Exciting update...a few new friends have joined my Herer. They are snowcap x trainwreck. Clones from the medical outlets in cali. They look wonderful. Transplanted today. The other Herers are getting bigger and within a couple weeks should be on par with the snowreck. Right on everybody...here's some pics to check out.

Re: 400w Jack Herer Indoor Organic

Hey everybody, just made some hash and wanted to share the tek with people to see if they know. My friend and I figured this one out like 3 years ago. Its an isopropyl alcohol extraction. Its real easy...all you need is:

1. An ounce or so of FINELY GROUND trim.
2. Isopropyl Alcohol (91% or higher)
3. An electric stove (alcohol is mighty flammable)
4. A paper clip
5. A pot
6. A plate (high temperature safe)
7. A Mason Jar
8. Large Coffee Filter
9. Water

So heres how it goes.

First start a pot of water boiling and then place a hot temperature safe plate on top.

Then,

1. Place ounce of trim in mason jar.
2. Add enough Isopropyl to fully saturate all the trim.
3. Shake vigorously for 2-3 minutes.
4. Pour solution into coffee filter above plate.
5. Allow for all the alcohol to drip through and squeeze out remains. (Careful not to get any plant matter in there...nobody likes planty hash!)
6. Allow for the alcohol to evaporate.
7. When the hash is reaching its final stages, it will bubble. More or less depending on the percentage alcohol. The higher proof, the less bubbles.
8. Stir the resin with the end of a paper clip to pop bubbles. Continue to do so as the water evaporates from the solution.
9. In the end there will be very few to no bubbles and the solution will be thick and black.
10. Remove from heat and let set for 20-30 min.
11. Place in freezer to harden.
12. Scrape off hash with a razor...ENJOY!

Voila! About 3.5g of hash for an ounce of trim and about 3 bucks!
This hash is good to smoke, super sticky and gooey like earwax. Its GREAT to cook with as well. Blends into milk and butter very well. Good taste too.

I think I'm gonna enjoy some right now.

Re: 400w Jack Herer Indoor Organic

Hey everybody,

A question: How early should one start feeding with nutrients in an organic setup and at what intervals? I realize most of this is strain dependent, but I was wondering if there was a general rule of thumb. Trying to figure out when to feed.

Thanks

Re: 400w Jack Herer Indoor Organic

Hello peoples. Update...nothing much to update. Everything is going well. Watered a little today and the plants look good. Still not so sure on when and how much to start feeding...this is where I always fuck up...damn nutes. Nonetheless, I shall persevere.

Also EasyGreen, here is a pic of the finished product (and also a couple of the ladies). The hash is ridiculous imo.

Peace

Re: 400w Jack Herer Indoor Organic

I mean i never really thought of it as an oil. I've always believed it to be more of a resin. Very similar to the consistency of resin in a pipe when hot. It melts into the bowl and burns real smooth.

I'm really not sure exactly what the substance is besides thc, cbd, and all goodness resin.

But no offense taken...thank you sir.

Re: 400w Jack Herer Indoor Organic

**UPDATE**

Day 10: Good news and bad news. The bad news first...one of my JH died, but it was the one i expected to go. 4 babies in a 2.5" pot don't work very well and I'm happy that I was able to save the others. No prob...thank god for cloning.

Speaking of the others...they are looking great. 2 new sets of leaves on both of the JH and the Snowreck is looking delicious as well. I cant wait for veg to finish. Here's the looks of em'.
