As of today I'm on days 35 and 21. I put plants A & B into a bigger pot and included a picture of the root ball for those of you that have that fetish. I have the great fortune of being five miles a way from a huuuuge nursery, so I picked up some really sweet organic potting soil and all organic fertilizer. I transpotted them yesterday. I was really worried about how this would effect the plants, but they seem to be troopers. I heavly diulted my nutes just to test them so as to not nute burn again, and the plants seemed to take to them pretty well so I'm also happy about that. All in all, pretty succesful repotting I must say! Thanks alot for the help. Also, a friend of mine walked into my apt. and immediately smelled MJ, fuck......I have carbon scrubers on the way now. This friend is the only person that knows I'm growing, we both decided to start growing at the same time, in hindsight I regret this lapse in security, but it is what it is. He suggest just growing plants in my closet without a box at all. My closet is all white, but I dunno, that just seems more risker to me, what do you think? I would switch to a HPS light if I were to do that. Also, I am coming to realize that plants get larger while in the flower stage. My last pic shows how tall my box is. How tall should I let these plants get before switcihng to 12/12?

I am no expert by any means and for that matter I have never once used CFL's but I always thought those type of lights produce the most usable light when they are not pointing straight down on the plant like you have them positioned. Then again you do have hood/reflectors concentrating all the light in one direction so I may be a moron, perhaps a second opinion?

On a different note, I was cruising around eBay and came across some 125w CFL's and they were about 48 bucks a piece; it seems to me plants grow so much better under CFL's during that vegetation stage that I might consider getting a two or three. My 600w HID seems to welt little sprouts up until week one or two where as CFLs make little sprouts prosper like they were on crack. Just my opinion though. I’m a newb .

Plants A & B are on day 38, plant C is on day 24. I am pleased that a&b's roots are taking to the soil, for about 2 days they just stayed in the root ball but they are branching out finally and sucking up some H20 (thought about buying some of that rooting repoting stuff, but figured I may do more harm than good, lol). Plant A is filling out like crazy, and C is no slouch. I got a little too happy w/ my nutes when I upped the dosage, started noticing some brown spots on some leaves and immedieatly flushed the plants (was a huge pain in the ass to flush the big pot) Switching to 12/12 the 15th of this month; won't be fair to plant C, but plant B's height is becoming a concern, and may become a problem during flowering.

P.S. Bennyweed, sorry I am too much of a novice to be of any help there. Journals tend to attract more responses and attention once in the flower stages, so someone may help you then.

heres an idea for you if you think plant B's height is going to be a concern then you might want to top it. you can do this by cutting off the top cola 1 or 2 nodes down and this will help keep your plant shorter while likely getting more bud from your plant. if you have any questions just ask

no you don't want to cut all three off you should let it grow for a day or two more then cut the stem just above that leaf set. this will stop the stem from growing and encourage extra growth at that top node.

OK, thanks. OH, I have officially spotted preflowering on plant B, and it's female. Two very tiny little white hairs, just like in the pics I've seen! So excited. I'd take a picture but my camera sucks too much for it to be seen. It would be awesome if all three are female, but esp. plant A, it's getting HUGE, growing out like crazy.

Dead roots drop ph, if you do find a male ... I would get out as much as you can. Watch for bugs.

Thanks a lot man! I could kind of use my PH dropping a little bit (around 6.8 right now), so would that be so bad? Plant A is really exploding, lol I think it's trying to claim the new pot as it's own.

OK, so today is my last day of vegging, switching over to 12/12 tonight. Plant B has multiple pre flowers (my camera sucks, but 2 white long beautiful hairs), and also looks like it's actually budding, but is that possible before switching to 12/12? You'll see what I mean in the pics. A and B vegged for 42 days, C vegged for 28 days. The preflowering is circled in red in the pics. Plant A is getting nice and bushy, and LOOKS like it also is female, though I'm not 100% on this yet w/out a magnifying glass, what I think is a preflower is still too small right now.
