One thing though, aren't you worried about those strings burning? I mean, you have them tied DIRECTLY to the light? No worries?

hmm well i mean the cfl's dont get too hot and in the month and a half i have been doing it this way i have had no trouble.. i mean sure they get warm but nothing to worry about i am sure. i mean if something was to go wrong i would thought it would have by now.... i say in a very worried manner now lol!

the box thing is working a treat... i feel like i have a very good micro set up.. just wrestling with raising humidity.. which i cant seem to do!

i think the switch to 12/12 then back to 18/6 has shocked them a little and the fact that my rh is 26% and i cant get it up no matter what i try... no growth in the last two days at all it seems!

Sorry, I hadn't read your other grows so I didn't you had them tied up for awhile now.

That's good news to me, I didn't realize cfl's were THAT cool, good thing to know.

most of the heat from a cfl comes from their in-built ballast, the bulbs themselves are usually cool enough for you to handle when on. Great for small spaces.

yea exactly.. i mean they do get a little warm sometimes too much for me to handle for a long period.. but they seem ok... no burning smell ever or n e thing like that... it seems ok!

i have worked around my rh problem i think.. dont know if it was the right thing but i got a spray gun.. n sprayed water into the air.. bought it up to 40% straight away.. gonna go check it out in a second to make sure its all ok in there... thought this may attract mould so i wont do it again for a while and will wipe out when i go take the plants out again to take pictures.. then re mist after that..i normally have them out once a day anyway!

here is some pictorial updates not that they have improved much in a day .... i think the mango is a girl ... compared to my first grow she is sooo short... and i remember that its about not that they explode so the next week is going to be good...

Place open bowls or containers of water into your grow this will raise the RH up as the water evaportates and replace it as needed ....spraying will only temporaritly raise levels unfortunately and unless you can go spary every hour or so will not have the long lasting effect needed to keep the RH constant for there happieness.....i had only about 30% RH before placing bowls now i have 3 open containers with about 1/2 liter of water in each and RH is 42 to 45% each day now.....hope this helps and good luck man

well i just checked on them before i watch some south park and fall asleep! on the mango it looks like two new leaf sets are forming with no internode.. it seems quite weird! but there is certainly new growth.. it looks like it is going to explode like the last one.. but this one just seems more compact..... i am getting high female vibes off of this grow!

argos sells a cool mist humidifer for £29.99 well worth the spend, i dont know the rh in my room but my plants have shown me they like it, nice lush green leaves and a swety atmosphere look it up dude........

yea thats a little bit out of my price leauge at the moment simply because i dont have that kind of cash lol! which is a shame i must admit.. but hey.... well here are some photo updates.... new leaves coming through on my verrrrrrry compact mango... and a little bit of growth on the big bang but nothing to write home about!

Out of my four i noticed one with bollocks last week (I'm on my 21st day since they sprouted) so i gave it to a friend,It was a shame though because it looked and smelled brilliant ! Hopefully thats the end of the males for me !

I'm also havin RH probs so i'll keep tabs to see how you rectify

nah i just gave it them as an ornament, i don't know anyone else that grows.
