Frosty Pics

Here are some pics of the buds. They are getting very frosty. I am pleasantly surprised!

Yes, there is some nute burn.

Sweet!

You go girl!

Tomorrow I'll have me own Aerogarden, and I'll have a look at the specification
for the light, my main concern.

I owe it all to you kbfl0912

aerogarden light specification

Hi,
The aerogarden 200 has 3 CFL bulbs, each bulb is a 26 watt 1560 lumen or a total of 78 watts and 4680 lumens. The area of the Aerogarden grow box is about 16 x 9 inches or exactly 1 sq ft. Now , the information I've seen published in the scientific journals here on grasscity and elsewhere , say light intensity should be from 2,000 to 3,000 lumens per sq foot, with the 3,000 number being the best. Based on this information, I'd say the aerogarden's light system is pretty good, and would only be a concern if the canopy blocked lower leaves, which can be addressed with side lights.

Super!

Interesting. Thanks for the info. Where did you find it? I couldn't find it in any of the manuals it came with.

Hi,
Checkout this link from aerogarden
http://www.aerogardenstore.com/promo...oduct=2411-01B

I have the "Deluxe" model on the link above it has a picture of a CFL bulb
it's inside a cardbox box the size of a video cassette, THIS bulb. Don't
despair, I expect if you 3 of these in your model that they're the same

Ok, I don't have the Deluxe Aerogarden, I have the Pro 200, but I believe the bulbs are the same. There are three in the hood, however it does not come w/ a spare bulb. Here is the model I got, the 200 not the 100. I don't really see what the difference is between the Deluxe and the Pro other than the built in light cycles. Does yours have a 24 hour cycle?

That I don't know, I mean it's not mine, I just looked at a friend's
I'm sure the bulbs are the same

The difference in models are explained here
http://www.aerogardenstore.com/promo...oduct=2500-00S

The 100 doesn't have the extra pieces, the ones with the arrow through them...
The bulbs ARE the same, you just don't have an extra, Ill dig a little deeper
and probably be able to tell the mfg and model #

What's up with the nute burn, tell us more please!

Nute Burn

Well, on the last set of pics, the close up ones, you can see that the tips of the leaves are brown and crispy. So, I suspect the last time I added nutrients, I added too much and it burned the leaves. But, since I am just running distilled water now, and the end is near, there is nothing to do about it. It shouldn't affect anything. If this type of thing happens during the early stages of your grow, you can quickly correct the problem by emptying the reservoir and adding less nutrients or none at all until it looks like the problem has resolved. That is one aspect of hydro that I really like. If there is a problem, it can be fixed quickly. The leaves would never heal, but there won't be any further damage.

Have you decided what nutrients you will be using? Don't use the ones that come with the AG. I read some other journals where people had problems with them. I did use them at the very beginning before I got the Advanced Nutrients. I used half the suggested dose and only for about 4 days. Nothing bad happened though.
