Hello, and thank you for visiting my grow journal. I'll be updating this journal weekly with detailed observations and to answer any questions anyone might have.

So, here's the setup...

Mother Tent:
4 x 4 x 7 mylar reflective grow tent
(2) 450w G8 LED's (full spectrum veg/flower)
(1) 250 CFM Booster Fan (exhaust/circulation); connected by ducting to Bloom tent's intake fan
(1) Small circulation fan

[IMG]\t\t\t

Growing in the Mother Tent:
(1) OG Ghost Train Haze #1 (fem) - Rare Dankness
(1) Green Crack (fem) - Humboldt Seed Organization
(2) Cinderella 99 (fem) - G13 Labs

All 4 seedlings sprouted, almost at the same time, a week ago on/around 7/21 and are now working on their 3rd node

[IMG]\t\t\t \t\t [IMG]\t\t\t \t\t [IMG]\t\t\t \t\t [IMG]\t\t\t

Since the seedlings are still too small/young to take cuttings from, I purchased (6) Cookies Kush - Barney's Farm clones from a local, reliable source.

[IMG]\t\t\t \t\t [IMG]\t\t\t

Bloom Tent:
10 x 5 x 7 mylar reflective grow tent
(4) 600w Generic LED panels/fixtures (bloom spectrum, more red)
(2) 450w Spectrum King LED's (400+ model)
(1) Titan Controls - Atlas 2 CO2 "sniffer"
(1) 20 lb CO2 tank w/ Titan Controls regulator
(1) VenTech 6" 440 CFM Duct Fan w/ Hepa air filter (intake air scrubber); connected to mother tent's exhaust/circulation fan
(1) 250 CFM Booster Fan (exhaust/scrubber); connected externally, via ducting, to virgin charcoal filter
(1) 250 CFM Booster Fan (exhaust/circulation); connected to mother tent via ducting
(1) Box Fan (>$20 at Walmart) for circulation

[IMG]\t\t\t \t\t [IMG]\t\t\t \t\t [IMG]\t\t\t

Nutrients:
General Organics - Bio Thrive (Grow/Bloom), Bio Root, Bio Bud, Bio Marine, Bio Weed, CaMg+, and Diamond Black ("organic" nutrient line)
Great White Mycorrhizae (root enhancer)
H&G Shooting Powder (late flowering bloom inducer)
Super Nova (branching hormone)

I have designed my setup for perpetual harvest, with 2-3 weeks between stages in the cycle. Currently, the 6 Cookies Kush I purchased are in their 2-3 week Veg period (started 7/27). In 2 weeks, as I'm waiting for my seedlings to grow big enough to start taking cuttings, I will purchase 6 more clones in order to maintain the schedule/cycle. For now, though, it's just a matter of waiting and counting the days.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and I'll do my best to answer. Happy growing!

2. why are you pics links to rollitup? looks nice so far man, what do you mean by generic lights? what are your next 6 clones gonna be?

Hi there, Shred.
The pics here link to Rollitup because that's where I first posted my journal... lol. Laziness got the better of me.. copied and pasted so I wouldn't have to type ALL that stuff up again.
http://www.rollitup.org/t/growing-with-sp-rt-ku-h.878949/
By "Generic" lights, I meant that they are "non-brand-name" 600w LED lights that you can purchase on Aliexpress.com for super cheap. My goal in getting those lights was just to use them to fill the tent up with light while the more expensive Spectrum King LEDs do the majority of the work/bulking. Plants are meant to finish under the Spectrum Kings.
For my next 6 clones, I plan on using a local clone delivery service, asoothingseed.com. I've used clones from them before, they are legit. They have a Purple Trainwreck that I'm interested in.

I'm not sure how many people are reading this, but while we wait for my ladies to grow, allow me to share some of my previous endeavors in cultivating this precious plant we all love. =) [IMG]

P.S.
Has anyone seen that new Dragonball Z movie, yet? "Resurrection F"... I just did and am totally geeking out right now.

5. Hi guys. I'm back with an update for whoever is interested. So, over the week, I've been giving the girls a bit of Light Stress Training (LST) using some string to bend and tie-down their tops in order to encourage those side branches to develop.
20150803_224959.jpg 20150803_225035.jpg 20150803_225029.jpg 20150803_225042.jpg 20150803_225014.jpg These girls are starting to get nice and big, so I'll be getting them into their final 5 Gallon Smart Pots tomorrow and post pictures with my next update.

As for my seedlings/mothers, check them out:
20150803_224438.jpg 20150803_224451.jpg Here's the OG Ghost Train Haze #1. True to her Sativa-dominant genetics, she was really starting to reach up for the light and began to outgrow her sisters, so I gave her some LST to control that height.
20150803_224506.jpg The bigger Cinderella 99. She's growing much faster and bigger than her sister of the same strain. Can't wait to start taking clones. [IMG]
20150803_224516.jpg Here is the Green Crack. Not much development here. I do notice really short inter-nodal spacing at the top. I'll wait to see how she develops over the month.
20150803_224521.jpg Finally, the other, smaller Cinderella 99. She's not as big as her sister, but she is still developing nicely.
Let me know what you guys think. Peace.[IMG]

6. Good afternoon, fellow blades.
After quite a bit of thought, I've decided to only clone 1 cutting of each Cinderella 99 - G13 Labs - as those genetics are fairly common and I'm sure I can repurchase them again, down the line... point is, I want to make room in the mother tent for one, maybe 2 other strains, but I need help deciding which strain to run.

Here's where you guys come in.

AVAILABLE STRAINS:

1) Sannie's Jack F8 (Jack Herer) - Sanniesshop.com - 4 reg seeds - everyone knows Jack

2) Killing Fields F4 (Jack Herer genotype) - Sanniesshop.com - 4 reg seeds - amazing sativa

3) Sugar Haze - free seed with order - 4 reg seeds - sativa dominant hybrid?

4) Hogswreck (Hogsbreath x Trainwreck cross) - 6 bagseed donated by a friend - mysterious

What do you guys think? Any requests/suggestions?

7. Hi, fellow Blades. I'm back again with another, slightly belated, update. I took the family up to Big Bear for a couple of days relaxation in the cabins, but I managed to get all my mother plants transferred into their 5 Gal smart-pots, watered, and topped before the trip!
So, let's jump right into it.
In the Mother Tent:
20150811_214224.jpg 20150811_214236.jpg Here's that OG Ghost Train Haze #1. I topped her before the trip, and when I came back, I took a few more clones from her (not pictured).
I. Can't. Wait. [IMG][IMG]

20150811_214301.jpg Here is the Green Crack. I mentioned earlier that I noticed some stunted growth on her. It turns out, that it had twin-tops and was just taking a bit longer to develop. I clipped her, as well. Looking forward to gifting my friend with her bounty. This happens to be their favorite strain!

20150811_214312.jpg These are the two Cinderella 99's. I'm not exactly sure what's affecting their growth, but I suspect it could be either the distance from the light-source, or the temperatures. I've read, however, that C99 develops shorter internodes than other sativa-dominant strains. I plan on cloning them once more, each, and flower them all out to make room for 1, maybe 2 more strains in my tent.
20150811_214432.jpg This is the Auto-Cloner with the tops/cuttings of each mother. The one in the inner-circle is the OG GTH, the two that are together are the C99's, and the big, double-header to the right of the cable is the Green Crack.

In the Bloom Tent:
20150811_214602.jpg 20150811_214712.jpg As you can see, these Cookies Kush are starting to get big. When I got back from the trip, I noticed some pretty big roots starting to poke out through their smart-pots. I haven't clipped any leaves from them, at all, since receiving them on July 27, but I will prune them a little just before flipping the tent to flower (finally). I'm looking forward to a nice harvest.

What do you guys think? I'm glad to answer any questions you might have. Peace! [IMG]

8. Quick update on this one, guys. I'm still trying to decide which new strain I want to run, but there are new strains to add to the list to choose from.
I'm waiting for some more beans in the mail:
Shaman, Passion #1, and Frisian Dew - All from Dutch Passion Seeds.
Are any of you guys familiar with these strains?

9. Hey man, what the very first photo of the really big main cola?

10. Wassup, gingerb
That photo of the big main cola you're asking about is the short, Skunky phenotype of Jack Herer! I was lucky enough to get it from Sannie's Jack F6 when I grew it. I'm a huge fan of Sannie's. That guy puts out amazing genetics for a fraction of the price of most other breeders. Sanniesshop.com <---- check it out, there are some nice things to see there. [IMG]

11. Ok interesting one, never grown any Jack Herer yet. Have to put that on my list of possible next grows.

12. Hi, fellow Blades [IMG]

Good evening and welcome to another (belated) update. I'm sorry about these sporadic updates, but it's just that my schedule is a bit more cramped now that my wife is back to work (no more vaycay). So, without further ado.

LET'S GET UPDATED******

Mother Tent:

20150817_180109.jpg
Alas, folks, this poor thing you see is the OG Ghost Train Haze #1. I've taken as many cuttings from her as I could, including one strong cutting to act as a 2nd, backup mother.

20150817_180120.jpg
Here is the Green Crack. So far, I've only taken 3 cuttings from her and since then, she's bouncing back quite nicely. Since topping her, she's starting to branch out more. I'll be taking more cuttings from her as spots open up in my cloner.

20150817_180128.jpg 20150817_180137.jpg
These are the Cinderella 99's. The one on pictured on the left (bottom right in the tent) is starting to branch out more than her sister. Other than this difference, their structure and growth are pretty equal.

I rotate the mothers every couple of weeks so that they get equal coverage under the lights, since one light has more red than the other.

20150817_180054.jpg
Viola! Say hello to my new additions! [IMG]These are the 6 new Purple Trainwreck clones. I got them from the same clone service that I got those Cookies Kush from (below). They started vegging on 8/16 and are already starting to take off, showing their sativa genetics!

20150817_180154.jpg
Check out my FULL, 18-site, auto-cloner! The entire inner circle (6 clones) are all OG GTH, the rest are (3) Cinderella 99, (3) Green Crack, (1) Mother OG GTH, and (5) Cookies Kush taken before I flipped the tent to flower (in case I really like it).

Those bushes you see there are my Cookies Kush. [IMG]
After 3 weeks of vegging, I finally flipped the tent to flower on 8/16, the same day I got my Purple Trainwreck clones. The breeder, Barney's Farm, says that there is a 1.5x stretch during flowering (the Kush genetics, no doubt) and they're ALREADY filling out their pots, so I'm expecting some nice, big bushes come harvest. What do you guys think? [IMG]

**Seeds Update**

I got my seeds in the mail today... unfortunately, they weren't the seeds I ordered. On the bright side, the seeds I DID receive happen to be more expensive than the seeds I ordered, yay! Small consolation, considering the mix-pack I got are all auto-flowers [IMG]

I'm thinking about running Killing Fields and Hogswreck next. Let's see how many cycles I can get out of this batch.

Until next time, folks. Thank you for visiting, and if you like what you see, feel free to like/comment! Peace! [IMG]

13. What's up man dropped by to check out your digs I love what you have going on. I'm your set up is very extensive (im jealous) and well thought out and you plants seem to be loving it.

That sucks they screwed up your seed order I was excited to see you had ordered Fresian Dew and I don't know about you but I am not a fan of Autoflowers. I got some as freebies with my last attitude order I gave them to some old hippie I work with.

I'm subbed up looking forward to you progress

14. Hi, my friend. I feel the same way you do about Autoflowers. In my opinion, it takes too much of the challenge and art out of the process. Not only that, their yield per plant is dismal and you can't really clone them, unless you know about Tissue Culture Cloning, or micropropagation... which, I do, by the way. That Jack Herer cola, the one I'm holding in a couple of pictures that i posted earlier, was a plant I treated with Surflan and then cultured. That sweet lady yielded 9 oz. (dried/cured) from a 10 gal pot. You simply can't do that with Autoflowers.

15. Wow that's a great yield. I prefer to be able to induce flowering when I want and your right it takes all the art and process and that is in my opinion a large part of the fun. So I'm assuming you have a horticultural degree? I'm no pro but I do ok my quality is better than my quantity so this time I'm trying to even that out a bit.

16. **UPDATE**

It's update time, fellow Blades! [IMG]

Mother Tent:

Everything going fine and dandy in there, so far. I gave one of the Cinderella 99's up for adoption. She went to a loving home, I'm sure she'll be taken care of. This now makes room for a new Killing Fields I'm going to start TONIGHT!! Will post updates on that later.

These Cookies Kush are in their 10th day of bloom. I can already detect a faint Cookies aroma coming from them. I'm super excited! [IMG]

I'm thinking about starting a new thread once I'm in full swing, by mid-October. Let me know what you guys think. As usual, feel free to like/comment. [IMG] for visiting!

17. Just a brief UPDATE at what's going on in my

Bloom Tent:

20150828_203623.jpg
I've started supplementing the tent with CO2 when I noticed them starting to bud a couple of days ago, and there's already a noticeable difference in their growth. Their leaves are definitely perky as fuck! I can't wait to see how these Cookies Kush turn out.

*In case you can't tell, he's happy with what he sees!

18. Skull looks like he's about to start munching on it. Looks nice man. I can only hope i get mine there.

19. Thank you, Coliostroe. I checked out your garden, as well and those Northern Lights you got going are coming along nicely. There's a local clone delivery service around here that has a Northern Lights x Big Bud cross I might be interested in running. Let's see how yours turn out. Good luck!

20. *Update*

Good afternoon, fellow Blades

I'm actually sitting in class right now (Modern Art) and figured I should let my "BUDdies" know what's going on.

Bloom Tent

20150830_181132.jpg 20150830_180637.jpg
Look at these babies. These Cookies Kush are 14 into flower (as pictured). They are currently into day 18 of flowering. Barney's Farm says they take between 55-65 days to ripen...

20150830_180704.jpg 20150830_180551.jpg
...The aroma coming from them is subtle, yet unmistakably a mix of Girl Scout Cookies and a flowery type Kush that has me drooling [IMG] with excitement. Last night, Day-17:F, I noticed what looks like the beginnings of some nice trichrome development.

Can't wait to see how these turn out!

Mother/Veg Tent:

20150830_181317.jpg
These are the Purple Trainwreck, pictured the night before I moved them into their 5 gallon Smartpots. I'm going to let them veg until Sunday, before I move them into the bloom tent, to give them just enough time to adjust to their new homes.

I'm sorry about the low quality of the pictures in my journal, turns out that the camera on my phone is NOT, at all, even a decent substitute for a real camera... and as soon as I can find mine, I'll try to take better pics. Bare with me, fellas, I'll figure it out...[IMG]

Please feel free to like/comment on anything you see. Also, if you have any questions, let me know and I'll do my best to answer. [IMG] all for visiting. As always, Peace! [IMG]
