oh yea !!!!! Got the Veg/Mother&Clone Chamber set up with 4 26watt Daylight CFL's and will be putting 2 24in T12's in there also. I saw a link for a 150watt HPS with ballast for $20 and Im thinking about getting that to add to the middle of the flower chamber but I've been looking at these 24in x 24in Red LED panels that I can get for $25-$30 and I have always been the type of guy to prove people wrong and my buddy has a whole Hydro room and laughed at me when I told what I was doing with the clones he gave me saying I wont get hardly anything off them that way but I've seen way too many good results on here and so far my ladies are looking really good! Smell even better!

lol LED's = LOW YIELDS! the only led set up i've seen that might be worth while checking out is hopeitshappy's off youtube.

He hasnt showed it lit up yet but if you look at his other panel he made with 10mm .5 watt blue leds which is 1/2 as bright as the new 3 watt panel he has made. I don't mean to discourage anyone of you but leds in my experience are only good for small set ups like a PC stealth box. Small confined areas they work ok in.

And for you guys following DrBudGreengenes design. Here is a site you can find some 55W CFL's. For some reason in my town its hard to find anything above a 22 watt cfl so here is a site you can find all the CFL's you need.

Yerlucky since the Doc hasn't been around I started snooping around other sites and he's over on ICMAG dot com in the Micro Grow section with a masive CFL SOG 1176 watts !!!! I highly recomend going over there and checking it out there is a lot more info for CFL growing!!

His clones are only 2 or 3 inches tall when put into 12/12 3 in 3 out every week!!

I have two questions which I am eagar to find the answers to, as the seeds should soon sprout. The questions are open to The Doc, or anyone who cares to comment

*** Sealing all edges ***
I am looking to use a sealant around the interior edges of the box to ensure no light is visible able from the outside. Can I use Silicone or Latex Caulking? Does it matter which? or?

*** VENTILATION ***
I have a fan to use for Venting air in and out, but I have not yet mounted it.

Should the fan be pushing fresh air in to the box?
OR perhaps Pulling the "OLD" air out from the box?

Would a pressurized box (or a box that is a low level vacuum) have an affect on the Plants? Or should I strive to keep the case pressure at a neutral level?

Hey Matty I don't think the Doc is bothering with this thread anymore haven't seen him since I joined BUT! you can find him over at ICMAG dot com in the Micro Grow forum and oh boy has he stepped up his system, still all CFL too!!! Plus not that GC isn't a cool ass place to trade info but I've trippled my knowledge from ICMAG the Doc has inspired soooooo many people to go this way and theres really cool techniques for cloning and he explains a lot more over there....

hey man i love this thread i am working on my own 5 grow boxes ill harvest 4 sog plants and 1 full size plant a week my grow box will be 6x8 ft i hope everything is ok with the dr. and guys lets not scare him away by trying to find his cabin im sure he like me wants to stay private and just share him knowledge

How does he adjust the light height, or does he just trim and make the plants bend around the light so it doesnt touch? Also could this same setup be used in rubber maid containers?

hes been growing his strain for a alot of years he knows how tall they will be so he has it set up that way idk for sure say iv never used them but it might work

I might try something like this with a rubber maid tub with a lid...and if it gets too close to the light i can try lst'ing it or just topping/trimming..I would rather just bend them and tie them away from the light....hmmm anyone else think growing in a rubbermaid would work for a small scale sog?
