i'm really considering doing this. but my flowering area is only 2.5' wide by 2' long. height isnt a problem. i was just wondering how many clones i could fit into this area. i was thinking only about 6 at most? 4 seems like a more reasonable number. Althogh i figured i would ask someone who is a little bit more experianced hahahaha.
sorry for the noob question.

-edit. i was able to find your flowering box size. and its about the same size as mine.

so you grow your clones in 1 liter bottles?

How many plants is up to you What size pot/container?

I start test flowering a new strain in a 1ltr. bottle....its first time in "TheBox".

The strain that I have been growing for 3 years now flowers best in a 16 oz. bottle...she finishes just under the lights...she will not behave herself in a 1ltr. she wants to be 4 feet tall.

Thats a beautiful thing their, Its a beauty of a setup and good thinking, I was wonderin what you put the clones in 25% vermiculite and 75% perlite?? also do u use cloning gell, what is the total # of CFl's u have? and how do u like cfl's compared to HID?? Ohh ya and what strain is that?? I have alot of respect for what ur doin thanks for passin on the knowledge, I currently have a 6 plant CFL grow with about 15 lights on it, hmmmm now ya got me thinkin, How do u keep the moms roots in check by trimmin every so often, and what is the best way to reveg, because if I revegged , my elvis diesel and used 1 of those as a mom then I could get set up quick I'm almost 3 weeks into flower, Cheers Bro

You Da Man

Excellent technique Dr. Greengenes. My wife wonders how you talked your missus into dropping off the grid and moving out into god's country? I've been pining to get away but I don't know if we could handle it and i haven't worked up the courage. It is a cool thing that you can live in the woods and still find gigs that pay the bills.

Regards.

[quote=kranko;1770173]Thats a beautiful thing their, Its a beauty of a setup and good thinking, I was wonderin what you put the clones in 25% vermiculite and 75% perlite??
Yes and sometimes pure Perlite
also do u use cloning gell,

I use powder or "Willow Water"...always have...Gel works well also
what is the total # of CFl's u have?
2- 15 watt Florex
2- 13 watt WrmWht
6- 42 watt Wrm Wht
1- 65 watt Florex
and how do u like cfl's compared to HID??

I would Luv to have a 430 up here....Someday when I can find 6 2-volt Phone Company Batteries to dedicate to the light and a nice Inverter to run it

Ohh ya and what strain is that??
"Chesaw"

I have alot of respect for what ur doin thanks for passin on the knowledge,
Your Welcome ....I think that everyone willing to try to grow His/Her own ...should be able to in whatever space they have at the time...and I am willing to help them all I can

I currently have a 6 plant CFL grow with about 15 lights on it, hmmmm now ya got me thinkin, How do u keep the moms roots in check by trimmin every so often,

I never root prune....I do take 3 inches off the topp of each mother ....every week ....the Mrs.'s calls it "Cookie Leaf" she bakes with it

and what is the best way to reveg,

Leave at least 1 good bud on the plant and as many leaves as ya can when ya' harvest.
Rinse very well with clear water.......Water with 1 dropper full Schultz 10-15-10 and 1 Tablespoon fish emulsion and 10 drops SuperThrive in a Gallon of water.
Then under 24 hour light...til' she says "Look at me I wanna grow"

because if I revegged , my elvis diesel and used 1 of those as a mom then I could get set up quick I'm almost 3 weeks into flower, Cheers Bro

Let them finish .....are they seedlings or clones?
If they are seedlings don't mix-up the buds...each will have its own "Personality" when ya' smoke it

Ya' might end up with more than 1 Mom

Thanks Man...
My wife wonders how you talked your missus into dropping off the grid and moving out into god's country?
First we were in a City of 276,000 and I moved her to a City of 2,700.....then to one with 1,100 (see a pattern here ) then to a lil' Mining Town of Gold Claims with 13 of us out there (middle of nowhere but we had grid power)...and from there she found the Land we are on up here "On the Net".I have Always wanted to build a cabin and live off-grid....and here we are

I've been pining to get away but I don't know if we could handle it and i haven't worked up the courage. It is a cool thing that you can live in the woods

and still find gigs that pay the bills.
As long as Mr.Gates keeps payin the bills we will run Cat 6 10 Gig ...to the Moon...lol

"The End Result"

This is what you are looking to Achieve with this system.
She was .....

Grown in a 16oz Soda Bottle...
Grown in Compost,Peat,Perlite,Castings..
Grown under 5 - 42 watt CFL's with 26 of her sisters...
Flowered for 9 weeks...
Flowered at 2" tall...Finished at 14.5"
Feed only 10-15-10 Schultz and Fish Emulsion with SuperThrive...
And she weighs.....82 grams wet ......My guess is....21 dry

whoa doc that sounds awesome man living all like self reliant and shit, i live only 10 miles off a real road but we also make our power with gas and soon to be propane generators, and i am working on a trash incinerator. but anyway we have not much power and generator is off at night and when wo go to work/school so i is asking would this setup work on batteries and power inverters it seems to be under 750 watts easily wich is about all i can afford for an inverter but it would a lot of lights on battery power and i wondering if you think this is feasible and how many deep cells a will i need. also the lights you mention those are just like cfls or what i only do outdoor grows and my life away from civilisiation means i have not much idea of what lights i need to buy. sorry for the rambling post but im fucking bored and not very high.

Our Cabin runs on Battery Power most of the time...the "Genny" comes on in the morning for the coffee maker...and every time we use the Microwave.
When the "Genny" is on she is dumping 300 amps into "The Bank"
"The Bank" is made up of 22 Trojan L16's they are 6 volts each wired together to make 11 12 volt batteries that is then made into 1 HUGE 12 battery that powers my Shop with 300 watts Inverter out there and 1000 watt Inverter in the Cabin any Elec. needs above that kicks on the "Genny" it also kicks on if "The Banks" voltage drops below a preset limit the "Genny" will kick on....

How often is your Generator on and for how long?

Cuz with a Battery Bank you must put back 1.5 hour for every 1hour you use...
If its on everyday for 8 hours or more you could get by with 10 batteries (L16's)

u can actually fit 27 clones into that flower box?? wow there just doesnt seem 2 be enough space.. correct me if i am wrong but the dimensions r 24"X24"X14" 4 the flower room, and u use 1 liter bottles for pots.. when the box is full is there any room at all in there? then every week u take 3 clones and so goes the cycle..

ahh i see now there 16 ozers and u test with 1 liters... would some strains become root bound in such small containers???
