1st Grow, THC BOMB, MAZAR, White Domina & Blue Dream

A lot of people have asked if I could post my grow journal because of my strains. I will be updating this journal regularly for those interested in seeing the progress.

What I am growing
THC BOMB by BombSeed.nl
MAZAR by Dutch Passion
White Domina by Kannabia Seed Bank
Blue Dream-Clone Only

Soil: Mary Jane's Potting Soil by Point Reyes Compost Co.
Added: Geohumas which is a soil additive water retainer.
3 plants growing in traditional blk plastic pots. All others are growing in Smart Pots. I notice a huge difference with the ones growing in the Smart Pots, much better.

Nutrients: Soul Synthetics by Aurora Innovations (Master feeding schedule). This stuff is amazing!

Equipment:
Lighting: 600 Watt HPS Diglux bulb with Blockbuster Reflector - 6" Air-Cooled.

Quantum Digital Ballast - 600W 120V/240V HPS/MH

Phresh Filter carbon air filter

Vortex 4" Inline fan 172 CFM

GrowLab GL145 Grow tent. Great quality and I really like the viewing windows. Perfect size for a small grow.

Unfortunately during the beginning flowering stage I found 3 males and had to get them out of the groom room immediately. The good news is that I still have one of each strain, all females. I switched to 12/12 about 1 week 1/2 ago.

She's turning into a beast! White Domina is the big kid on the block in there so far. I wonder if she'll continue to be. We shall see soon.

She's gunna be the quicker one to finish along with the other indica, the blue dream will take a few more weeks to mature that's why she might seem like she has slow growth or is behind in growth.

Thanks bro! I seen your plants. I never heard of Cool Guy seed bank. How much did you pay for the seeds? I got mine as a clone but I was going to order some from here

Blue Dream Feminized Seeds - from Marijuana Seeds NL since I really like Blue Dream. If yours turn out to be all males check them out if your're set on growing that strain. Good luck man!

I named my first grow ( a unknown bagseed) "kool guy kush" that's my name brand for it

The blue dream seed I got was in a 8th I had got, its a female auto low rider is my guess because it supercrop its self, I didn't do anything no nutes just fresh water ,

JOURNAL UPDATE WEEK 3 FLOWERING
The plants are turning out very nice at this point. I'm seeing a huge increase in the buds volume each day. They drink about 1 gallon of PH balanced water a day between the four plants. I provide nutrients every third feeding to prevent lock up and they seem to respond very well to that watering regiment. I've noticed each strain getting a lot fuller in their own way. Especially Blue Dream and MAZAR. White Domina has the largest stems of them all. Every now and then I'll throw in Roots Organics Buddah Grow which is derived from Bat Guano, Worm Castings, Soy Protein Hydrolysate, Kelp extract to increase the yields and to enhance the quality of production and flavor in the soil grown plants during the bloom stage.

How long did you veg for?
what did u veg with? lighting i mean.. and if you used the 600w to veg with did u find it worth the cost on the electric bill?

Ill chime in with my experiences. Iv been using a 400watter for awhile now and it only raised my bill from 60$ to 86$, so a 6er would raise it, I'm gunna guesstimate to 100 bucks. But I'm in Cali so that might change for you cuz I think each country/state has different DWP charges. I vegged for a month, don't know how big they were at end of veg but com harvest the tallest plant I had reached to above my belly button, and I'm 6 feet. Hey bro no problem. I like when people ask questions because I feel like I can contribute to back to the GC community

I started my seedlings with 100watt x2 CFL lighting and it's low cost efficient lighting. Believe it or not I used CFL lighting all the way for about 4 months! I kept them in a vegetative state on purpose until I got my grow room completely set up. It Obviously took me a long time to do that lol
I read a lot of books on growing Cannabis before I stepped into this new world of growing. I wanted to know what I was doing and learned some cool techniques along the way. When I finally upgraded to the 600 watt HPS Digilux with 6" Blockbuster Reflector cool hood the bill only went up about $35-$40 more a month. I stayed in 18/6 for about a moth before switching to 12/12 with the 600w. It's definitely worth the cost like you asked. You'll see the changes right away once the plants are introduced to proper lighting
You can vege for as long as you want. It's really up to the grower when they want to begin flowering. You should make sure you have enough room when you flower because they will double their size from vege.
I'm growing in a GrowLab GL1454'9" x 4'9" x 6'7"  I have my plants in 3 Gallon pots. I started with 7 but ended up with 4 after I tossed the males. The tent would fit 6 comfortably. I'm excited to start my next strain which will be Claustrum the sativa plant masterpiece: a cross between three strains of highly heterozygous families: Kali Mist, Super Silver Haze and Jack Herer

WEEK 5 GROW JOURNAL UPDATE
Ok, so I've contacted BombSeeds.nl to find out why their strain is not performing the way they described it on the site. They requested some up close photos so we'll see what they have to say. Here's the original description of THC BOMB
