Hey everyone and thanks for looking. This is a newer setup, I recently moved and had to upgrade my gear to accommodate my space.

I'm doing both completely organic plants and synthetic plants. So let me show you what I'm working with and my methods to achieve a monthly harvest.

The Veg tent is 4'x4'x6.5 and is lit by (2) 4ft 2 bulb T8s and a single 126w LED. It houses 6 vegging refill plants, mother plants, and a 25 site aero.

Plants in this tent Veg for 30 days then are placed into one of two flower tents and I basically repeat that process every thirty days.

Here is my Veg tent

So the process looks like this.........Six clones go under the veg lights at 18/6 for thirty days-----> thirty days goes by, plants then are placed into either of two bloom tents, and 6 new clones go back under the veg lights for thirty days---->Thirty days goes by and plants in bloom tent one are almost 1/2 way through flower, 6 plants are placed into flower tent two, and 6 new clones are placed under the veg lights for thirty days---> thirty days goes by, I harvest flower tent one, refill with six plants, and place six new clones back under the veg lights. Repeat this every thirty days = monthly harvest.

Here are my bloom tents:

Tent 1 left (HPS), tent 2 right (LED)

Bloom tent 1 is lit by a vertical bare bulb 600w HPS. Tent 2 is lit by (3) 120w LED panels. Actual power draw between all 3 panels is 492 ish watts. That is fucking cool considering most LED mfg's over rate their power consumption; rarely under rate it.

All plants are starting week 5 on the 15th.

All these plants are in blended recycled organic soil. No pH pens, no nutrient mixing, just ACT, EWC, and organic amendments. The cool thing about this soil is it gets better with every run. This is its first run so all my amendments didnt really break down all the way and become available (lack of cook time).

The plants currently in Veg are being grown in COCO and using AN 3 part along with Magical, fox farm beastie bloomz and gravity for flower.

So every thirty days I'll have a batch of Organic nugs, then chem nugs. SaWeet!;)

If the botanist tag is true, kudos. We need more real scientists involved in the understanding of this wonder of nature. Understanding not only it's applications for our benefit, but the plant's needs so that we can be proper stewards of it.

Hey I have a question/situation.

I have never had a hermi before but my Purple kush is def a hermi. I was doing an inspection on my plants and noticed those infamous bananas sacks. A lot of them too! I probably plucked off 50-60 of them.

Here is my question. Should I harvest this plant now or keep plucking the sacks and let it finish out?

I did separate it from everyone else and put her into her own tent with an LED.

I just dont know how to approach this Hemri because I never dealt with one before.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

My advice would be to harvest it now where you got others in danger of being pollinated but done would say to rip the bananas off but I wouldn't wanna risk seeding the rest of my crop

Word man, I want to harvest it now because I would like some smoke to have but I think I may try and let it go.

I dont know how fast those dirty bananas sack grow so I will inspect the plant in question every 2 days. I dont mind, it is a little plant.

I dont understand why she hermied. Saddens my chops! Im going to have to get rid of that mother now since its prone to do this.

If you can isolate the bitch then let her go and be a seed producer. Seeds aint cheap!

Thanks for chiming in bro! Your logic is right and it would probably result in feminized seeds but the tendency of a recessive hermaphrodite will be past on to all her off spring.

I will let her finish out and sadly that is the end of the road for this girl.

So we are sure that hermaphrodites are genetics or enviroment? I really don't know that one, never really looked into it, had a few and usually trash them but always thought about having a seed grow.

Well I for one dont know, its a random clause....but if you have a strain that does hermaphrodite you can only conclude a tendency and should rule it out (The plant).

Regardless though it is a condition of both environment and genetics. It comes down solely to a matter of thresholds.
