ABV Brownies

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by Kimmo, Aug 23, 2011.

  1. My friend is headed off to college, and is leaving me an entire mason jar packed with ABV. I'd assume it's like 60+ grams, but I'm not 100% sure. I just know it's jam packed in a full sized mason jar.

A few weeks ago, a couple friends of mine made some firecrackers for all of us using just their bud. I want to re-pay them by making ABV Brownies, but I want them to be as potent as possible.

What are the best ways to achieve this? Mix the ABV in the mix, make cannaoil, then add? What do you guys recommend?

  2. Budder, you can find many many many recipes on this very forum!

  3. Unfortunately, I don't have the materials for budder. I was jut wondering the most efficient and potent way to prepare it for brownies.

  4. The below will help.. where it is ABV, simply skip the decarbing (activating/cannabinoid conversion) portion of the tutorial, and process as directed.

There are two crucial steps when making canna oil; 1.) activation, and 2.) promoting bioavailability. The last, is why we process our glandular material in easy-to-absorb, 'edible solvents' such as oil, alcohol, glycerin etc; they act as a sort of 'vehicle' for permeability and cannabinoid delivery.
Cannabis glandular material is notoriously difficult for the body to absorb. Without the inclusion of such vehicles, we would not have the ability to take in many of those activated cannabinoids, and the greater portion of our potency is left to go 'in one end and out the other'.

It is very easy to make a high quality medical grade oil, and it requires very few materials, or tools. If you have the supplies and a kitchen to make a batch of brownies, you'll almost certainly be able to make a very good oil, as well.

    See the link below:

(First Page, contains detailed information on decarboxylation, or cannabinoid conversion..
decarboxylation is the process of activating your cannabinoids 'potency' by removing the
carboxyl group in the form of carbon dioxide and water vapor, converting your cannabinoids
from their acid, to their more potent delta forms):

The best oils, produce little to no odor during processing, if sealed properly and heated and cooled correctly. You can easily put it in any boxed brownie mix... be sure to read the final paragraph for detailed dosage information. \t\t"

Have fun, and good luck :)
