VEGAN pancakes

good morning all, how goes it?

if you happened to pass through my vegan brownies thread, you saw that they didnt work out as well as id hoped. i didnt cook the oil long enough to extract the goodies, and the brownie recipe in general just isnt right for me....

SO

moving on to pancakes--->

1 cup flour (whichever kind you prefer)
1 tablespoon sugar (I used organic cane sugar)
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
2 tablespoons (special canola) oil

the batch made about 4 pancakes, and they are fucking delicious. i threw a little bit of cinnamon in the last pancake, and i will definitley be doing that for all of them next time.

i actually used an extra tbsp of oil, just to get the xtra thc in.

i made it last nite in the crockpot. just under 16 oz oil, 2 oz vaped bud. cooked it on low for 6 hours(i got impatient)stirring periodically, seperated the oil and plant matter, and bottled it up. the yield was about half of the original volume of oil, i guess i couldve squeezed more out, but the crock is heavy and i needed an xtra set of hands. my new oil is considerably darker in color than before, comprable to olive oil maybe, but it looks really dark in the bottle almost black. <---i hope this is normal

i decided on these pancakes bc they are simple, they dont have a lot of ingredients, and theyre low on sugar.

they went down the hatch about 30 minutes ago, and ive read it can take up to 2 hrs to feel the effects of edibles... so im just hanging out, waiting for my flight.

interesting, let me know how it goes...

what kind of heat did you use with the oil? I'm pretty sure if it turned black that you probably burned some of it... cuz its supposed to be a dark brown color, but not black.

well i made a second batch right after the first. i ate it as i was making it, i just made one pancake at a time. i used 4 tbsp of oil in the 2nd batch bc it ended up needing more water since i used rice flour instead of white.

so between the two batches i used 7 tbsp of the oil.. and 1tsp in the pan for each pancake.

it wasnt long before i started feeling that magic feeling. i feel a nice body high, and i ive been laughing quite a bit. i watched hellboy 2 for the first time, so that was fun..

i have lots of oil left, so im thinking i might try to cook some vegetables with it in the future..but for now i need to eat without using any more, bc im quite wrecked and i dont want to jump in too quick, and im starving

DAMN

that oil is no joke.. soon afer eating(and being totally happy and high for a few hours) i got really sleepy and passed out. here i am 9 hours later, just now getting over the best high ive felt in a while. to be high for that long, that intensley, is just incredible. im excited about this, its going to change the way i use mary j, as im totally new to edibles.

the high took me back to my first years of smoking... when i could be stoned all night, when even eating a huge meal would do nothing to extingiush the high...
i just got completely stupid for multiple hours, and when you throw in the 'chill out'' channel on di.fm, it makes for a very enjoyable sunday afternoon.

i'll still vaporize, but i need to put it off for as long as possible since im still recovering fronm pneumonia. its sooo nice to know i can get blazed without vaping..

ok, now im going to make more pancakes...

Nice I used to be vegan for three or four years but now I'm only vegetarian.
Mad props on this though, everytime I tried to make any kind of vegan edibles it turned out TERRIBLE!
Wasted so much bud trying to make vegan edibles haha

Wouldn't firecrackers be vegan edibles?

Vegan myself for a year or so, not anymore.
