As long as you scale the proportions correctly.

I'm a big fan of this guide, I end up referring back to this guide for details every time I bake. The little guy running things upstairs has gotten a bit slower finding recipe files in the ole memory vault.

Can i use a paper coffee filter to filter the bud from the butter?
I dont have a mesh filter or anything so i was thinking i would secure a paper coffee filter around the opening of a glass with a rubber band with a cone shape going inwards and i would just pour it through there and then squeeze out the excess butter. Will this work?

this is an awesome tutorial! i know 2 different people who have fed me cookies and chocolate muffins that were made with their version of cannabutter, and neither had any affect on me at all, and after reading this i know why! both of my friends only took an hour or so from start to finish, and one of them used margarine, and neither of their butters even looked kinda green, they still looked butter-yellow when they were finished! now i have something i can show them and say 'look rookies, this is how its done right'

I have a half O of vaped leftovers from a Volcano. I was gonna use 1 stick (1cup/8oz/half pound) of butter with this guide. I want to consume all the butter though to try to get one decent experience out of it. I was just gonna eat the whole 8oz of cannabutter on some toast...hopefully it won't be too nasty. I guess my question is: can I use less butter (4oz) for 14g of vaped leftovers? How about using 4oz of butter and running the vaped shit through in batches, little by little, and straining. Would this even work? I just want to get the best experience out of it. If the only drawback to using 8oz of butter in one batch is the nastiness of eating it, thats fine. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Cant you just mix bud in with the butter like with firecrackers and after a few days the cannabinoids transfer into the butter?

How can I make brownies using this?Instead of using oil can i subsitute this butter?

What do you guys think about heating the large glass bowl and melting the butter there after taking it out of the fridge, to skip the intermediate step of putting the butter into the pot?

I used this guide recently with 1/2 of mids and 2 sticks of butter. I followed the instructions perfectly besides the sit period, where I did 4 hours instead of 24 hours. The resulting butter was not very potent at all, it took 4 brownies to get me high out of a 12 brownie batch. Is the wait period that crucial to potency? Or is it probable that I just messed up somewhere?

i was reading another guide and the dude used water, brought it to a boil and let the butter and weed simmer in there for 30mins-1hour. then strained it thru cheese cloth.
he let it sit for a day in the fridge so the water and butter would separate.

has anyone tryed both ways?
if so whitch is more effective this or the boiling water method????
