I got 2 "old" Purple Kush seeds from a friend He has had them since "07" The pics pretty much tell the story Hopefully we can get one momma out of this
I've seen seeds sprout that were 6 years old...I think you should be ok...Livin' on the edge I'll be watching and fending off the bastards...
These seeds are very old... Probably won't germinate.... But I'm gonna try Tryin' a few little tricks to help them along.... No way to really know if it helps or not but if I can get one of them to grow... If anyone "has experience" with sprouting "OLD" seeds.... NOT... "My cousin tossed a handful of old seeds in the woods and one grew" Otherwise... We're just gonna roll with it and see what happens If successful.... I'm gonna do a mommy in hydro Then some clones.... Then a Purp Kush grow Which will be either 6 or 8 plants.... Depends on which flower room is available when the time comes

Hum...I just frequent another forum and there's an "What's the oldest bean you've gotten to pop" thread. There was a guy who couldnt germ 10 year old seeds but everyone has had success with 5 years and younger...they "scuffed" them kinda like you did
Kool.... I haven't really done any research on the subject I just kinda put a little thought into it I figured the older they are the less energy they have to break out of the bean So I scuffed em' up, which also, (hopefully), will let the special sauce soak in there good I also put them in the fridge hoping a larger temp swing will give them a swift kick in the Cotyledon's I'm only gonna leave'em in there untill Fri. or Sat..... I think... Hopefully they'll sprout in the fridge by then
I only did it once before... Accidentally I was soaking some seeds thinking I could soakem' longer in the fridge without them germinating.... I was wrong They sprouted in the fridge @ 38 degrees:-O Worked out fine
Now I just gotta get them big enough to sex... If I only get one female I'll mommy her If I get two females I think I'll just grow them big enough to get some clones and skip the mommy... At least for now anyway
Im glad your seeds popped bro, I had some, just chillin in a film case in my dresser for about 6 years and I got about a 90% germ rate when their time came.. I think people worry too much about how to store them, just keep em dry. I do keep my expensive seeds in an airtight jar in the fridge with a pack of silica salt tho. whether its necessary or not, it helps me sleep at night good to see ya movin on edit: what ya gonna do with all that butter
Funny you should ask Just made this morning 2 sticks & 3 grams of "Sour Cream" hash Will give me about 3 dozen or so Chocolate Chip cookies OH YEAH For those who have been following along... One of the perpetrators was introduced to "kharma" two nights ago "Kharma" was wearing a badge... And used the tazer & the night stick on him The only way it could be better is if I was there to see it Wonder if it made it to youtube
