I am now starting my 1st DWC perpetual (motherless) grow. These first ants are just a test run to work out the kinks, before the strains i really want come in.

I caregive for 3 patients so I can have 18 plants. I plan on a 4 month perpetual grow with 4 plants per month wich is only 16. Cloning under a 40w CFL, vegging under a 400w MH, and blooming under a 600w HPS. The veg room and flower room are actually seperate closets in my apartment, so I will get some pics up as soon as I have then fully set up which should be in the next day or two.

Right now I have 6 clones (2 blueberry, 3 Cali O, and one purple power to push through the test run. Took these clones about 9 days ago (two from a flowering plant) and they have all taken in the bubble cloner.

This is the first time I have used a bubble cloner and DWC so I am wondering how long most people like to have the roots before they transfer the clones into the buckets. FYI I am using 6" netpots w/hydroton in the buckets.

Sorry for the pics, they are from the camera on my phone so not the best...

BTW - I will be going with the Lucas formula 0-8-16 for veg and bloom. DWC bucket will be 5 gallon buckets straight out of Rumpleforeskin's directions. No res on them this time, until i have run a batch through and see if I have any root rot issues. Plus since they are 3 different strains, I want to be able to adjust nutes if necessary for each strain individualy

Bubble cloners are great. I have been cloning in dirt with take root with about 80% success. first go round with the bubble cloner I got 6/6 with straight tap water.

Any advice or tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Interested in how that bubble setup works. I have the same rubbermaid tub but i was recommended a crappy drip line system from the hydro store and it doesnt seem like my plants are doing as good as they should be. Are you supposed to fill the reservoir all the way to the top so the net pots are fully submerged in the water? Send me a pm when you get the chance. anyways it looks like you know what your doing so im going to have to surscribe and follow along. GOood Luck:hello::hello::hello:

Don't put the water too high. Just high enough to submerge the bottom 1/4 inch of the stems. I just finished building 6 of the 9 bubble buckets I will need I will post picks in a few.

Edit: I need 12 buckets, not 9....

Okay so my light finally arrived. For the time being it will be in my smaller closet because it is easier to keep this room cool. It's a 600w digital balast w/cooltube and reflector.I have the MH bulb in right now for veg of course.Just pulled these couple clones out of the cloner and threw them in the buckets. from left to right is Cali O, CalixBlueberry,Purple Haze x Sunshine (or something, I don't really remember now). Still left to transplant is 2 DJ short blueberry and another cali-o. Also have clones of SSH and strawberry cough coming in.

Right now they are all on 0-5-10 lucas. Hopefully in the next week i can start bumping them up towards 0-8-16.

I really need to get some ventilation material to hook that tube up with a fan.

Ok, so time for an update:

I got a 4'x4'x6.5' grow tent for christmas (thanks to my gf).
I currently have 6 buckets in the tent on 18/6 under the 600w MH.
2 DJ Short Blueberry
1 Haze cross (It showed up at my house, what can you do)
3 Blueberry/Cali-O cross (something we have been smoking lately quite nice)

I got the tent set up and got the buckets in. The plants have been under the MH for about 10 days. Obviously some success and some issues.
Two of the BB/Cali crosses jump right up. the 2 DJ Short BB and that haze cross seemed to not like the full strength nutes (0-5-10 Lucas). They just sat there not really do anything, but not growing either. In all honesty they were some small clones. Anyway, after I finally got around to cutting them back to 50% strength they are starting to grow, but are a good amount behind the BB/Cali crosses for sure.

Looks real nice man. Where did you get your Buelberry seeds? I have been waiting for Attitude to get the DJ Short Blueberry back in stock.

No seeds got the clones from a friend.they were stunted for a little while because the nutrients were too strong since I cut the nutrients back to half strength they have exploded.

Ok time for an update:

I cut back the nutes to 600ppm for three of the plants not too long ago. They did not like 1000ppm right after coming out of the cloner. 2 of the plants did like the 1000ppm and straight took off. It is obvious which is which

The first 2 pics are just of the tent.

Plant 1: Blueberry x Cali-O - Growing rapidly. Looks in perfect health to me 1000ppm
(pics 1-3)

Plant 2: Blueberry x Cali-O - Growing well, not as bushy as Plant 1 1000ppm
(pics 4-6)

Plant 3: DJ Short Blueberry - Wasn't growing at all on 1000ppm. Dropped it back to 600ppm, starting to grow out nicely
(pics 7-9)

Plant 4: Purple Haze x Sunshine (or something?) - Week f***cking plant. Never has been happy. Cut back to ppms to 600, started growing, but it is just a lame plant
(pics 10-11)

Plant 5: Blueberry x Cali-O - Just transplanted from cloner about 2 days ago. Light yellowing on the bottom leaf. Should get better for sure. 600ppm
(pics 12-13)

Plant 6: DJ Short Blueberry - Same as #3, wouldn't grow at 1000pppm. Cut it to 600ppm. Started growing. This clone was tiny but it has just started to move.
(pics 14-15)

Any advice or input is greatly appreciated. All conversions are @.7. Feeding Lucas formula GH Flora Series.

Hey you got it there is not much advice that I can think of. Man, sure wish I could get my hands on some of that DJ Short Blueberry. I checked with the dispensary, they only had Sour D. Anyway, man it's a nice op you have you seem to be sharp with this. Just curious What training LST, topping or anything. Myself, I am just going to LST and SCROG my crop. I guess you have actual meters the check ppm & ph? Ya, I am still guessing with my hydro and use a test tube to check my ph. Well...:smoke: Good job.

Yeah the blueberry is good. We just chopped down my buddy's last 2 plants in dirt. 1 of them was the DJ Short BB. It looks like nice buds, but small yield. He did veg it under floros though because it was before he got his lights. Here is one pic. Sorry it sucks, took it with my camera phone

No training or scrogging yet. I wanted to scrog but since all the plants are at different hieight i might wait till the next run. This was just kind of a test run.

I use the Milwalkee pH51 meters, and an Oakton EcoTestr for ppm. The Oakton is good. The Milwalkee is a piece of sh*t. Supposed to be waterproof but it's not. I like the hanna combo ph/tds/temp meter. Much better with auto calibration.

It would of been alot easier to run all the same plants so they grow more similar but I see you want variety. Since your running individual buckets, you should probably put something underneath them to boost them up to the same canopy height as the big ones so they get more light and hopefully catch up.
