Making Bubble Hash with Bud instead of Trim??

Hey Everyone, just wondering if anyone has ever tried making bubble hash with the bubble bags using actual bud instead of leaf or trimmings? I've made bubble hash several times with great success but this time I'm interested in using roughly a 1/4 to 1/2 a lb of bud.The bud Is not high quality chronic but is not shit either, more of a mid grade with plenty of powder coated crystals on it. Has anyone ever tried this? or tried it with any amounts of bud? all comments or stories of experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Grasscity!

yeahh i was thinking it would work well, i'd just have to break it up n freeze it possible but im wnderng if it will be worth my time in yield or not

I'm sure it would work amazingly well. The bud has many more trichomes than the trim has, therefore you're going to end up with more hash and possibly a better quality. The reason people use trim for hash making is because they don't want there precious buds to go to waiste. I mean if you were to run an ounce of trim and an once of bud the the bubble bag seperatle you would get a much greater yeild from the bud.

Very true, I was more worried when i've read other articles saying to expect only about a 10% return in yield so, if i put in 112 grams or 1/4 lb then according to them i would get only get roughly 11.2 g in hash, which to me is kinda shitty. Still saying this i would like to test the odds and hopefully prove them wrong lol Im hoping to try it sometime this week and upload some pictures.

If you use 112g of bud, I think you may end up with 17-22g. Almost double of what trim would yield you, good luck!

I don't make bubble hash. But I make hash the traditional way rubbing it through a 130 micron screen and collecting. See the keif sticky for exact refrence. But I only use bud you get slightly better returns then you do with trim and it is much higher quality.

Your looking at that wrong. 10 grams of hash is equal to smoking 1/4lb. I my friend and myself have both had real trips with hash. Like a mushroom trip's. Also I'm a legal 215 patient we are only allowed 8oz dried bud. I have 3oz of bud on hand allows and 5 or so ounce of hash sitting around. Very handy way to compress 6 lbs of bud into legal amount.


P.s. If you have hoohak it mix hash into your sheesha. You get high as fuck and the smoke never become harsh. When you mix weed into the sheesha you get harsh spots that suck.

I wonder what meathod would yield more? all i want though is enough hash to repay my buddy who hooked me up with bud and hopefully enough left over to relax and smoke on for doing all the work lol
