great thread nugglord! many people over look this very crucial step.. You can turn the dankest buds into the bammer with improper handling/trimming/curing techniques. I vote for the sticky.. it will answer many frequently asked questions. + REP

i agree man.. it is such a crucial step that gets overlooked.

i can't tell you how many PM's i get asking me why their beautiful buds smell like hay after a month lol.

whats the difference between sugar and fan leaves and is there a good link to show how to make the bubble hash, or am i just better off smokin the sugar leaves?

The sugar leaves are all the trimmins from the bud, whereas the fan leaves are just the big leaves that are on the plant.

You can tell what sugar leaves are by all the trichomes on them.

Also, hashmouf has a guide to making bubble hash somewhere around here...

Question, probably a stupid one, but...

I wanna harvest my plants a bit at a time as suggested, top colas first so that the rest of the plant gets loadsa light. However, i also read that putting your plants thru 24hr of darkness before harvesting improves the potency. So, how do I combine these techniques or is it just not possible? Presumably there is zero point in putting already chopped colas into darkness and the part of the plant that you keep going surely wouldn't respond well to that period of darkness?!

Am I making sense?

Does anyone get what I'm on about. Very baked. If you can't combine the two, I guess what I'm saying is:

Is it preferable to give the whole plant 24hrs of darkness before you chop it all for stronger but smaller buds or harvest a bit at a time, resulting in more, bigger buds?
