Hi blades, just doing my usual micro-managing of a future grow that never seems to get closer. I want to yield 2-2.5 oz every harvest, but I don't know if I should have 1 or 2 plants veg/flowering at a time, this size grow is adapted for places that are not mmj friendly so the fewer the plants the better.

Basic Details: Coco/perlite 50/50 with some dolomite limestone, Canna Coco Nutes+superthrive and calmag and Ph'd RO water. perfect temps and rh assumed.

Basically I will start a perpetual harvest every 65-70 days grow op and I needed some opinions.

I am gonna flower with an LED light. For veg I was wondering:

Veg for 14 days under cfl, then the rest of veg under a small led
OR
Veg under cfl then move to LED flower room

Next, how big/small of a space should I have to flower the plant(s) to get that 2-2.5 oz harvest?

If I plant a low yielder, I will plant 2 of them and increase space, but for 1 plant is 2x2x4(or5') good to reach my goal?

I know this also depends on pot size, with each gallon (supposedly) yielding you an ounce. So my math says 1 plant in 3 gallon pot with 35 days seed to flip including supercropping and lst and then your normal flowering phase should get me 2-3oz if I do a good job. Quality over quantity any day tho.

I know this all depends on strain and environment, but I've done enough research to write a book, seriously. Let's say I have an ideal environment, let me hear what you guys have to say in terms of # of plants with pot sizes and size of room/op.

Lastly, just out of curiosity, if you had enough weed as you need, how much weed would you smoke a day? I'm basically shooting for 1 gram/day + the cannabutter and oil I make with any trimmings. Is this a decent amount, is it too much, or is a little less good enough?

Thanks for all help and opinions. Every bit helps, nothing more I like than different views and ideas to spark my own mind into turbo :)

I say go for five gallon pots, more root space = more yield. I'm still a noob at this but your expectations seem a little ambitious. My grow right now is a cfl/led grow. CFLs during veg and CFLs and LEDs for flowering. I'm using a blackstar 240 led and I'm not terribly optimistic about getting a huge yield.

I'm looking for a 60 day turnaround on my perpetual setup. As soon as I harvest, my vegging plants go to flower and my clones go to veg. As soon as my first cure is done, I should have fresh nugs every two months. Yield is probably my biggest worry right now, and I can't decide if I want to add more LEDs to my mix or just go HPS for flowering.

I average about a half a gram a day. If I could pull that plus a little surplus, I'd be a happy camper.

I can't wait to check out your grow. Hit me up on one of my journals to let me know when you've gotten started.

Definitely gonna see what you got in your journals zombie, I checked out the blackstar, in comparison to the Penetrator-x 84w model. They have the same actual draw, blackstar is not as expensive tho. Your perpetual sounds basically just like mine in terms of timings, I'll just be using seeds and not clones, but who knows.

I am a little ambitious, but I've seen enough grow journals getting 2oz per plant with the same exact setup that I know I can do it based on all of the variables. Thinking about how much I smoke, I think 50 grams per harvest will be enough for me, at least for the first few grows lol.

I don't know when this will happen, but I'll definitely hit you up when it starts up, thanks for the input Zombie

I've done a lot of math tiger, A LOT OF MATH, and I'm really really good at math too lol, so I've thought this one out. Basically, I'd run hps if I was in cali, 1200w, or 720w of led with a requirement of .67g/w from the led to satisfy the dif in pricing and costs.

for a single plant grow, I would rather not get an hps, a loud fan, and worry of having a fire just cuz I wanted some bud lol, I know hps shits on, but this is a battle of finesse. I wanna limit electricity usage, heat, and put a window on yield range.
The LED I would get for just 1 plant in flower is this:

Hydro Grow LED | Penetrator 21X | Extreme LED Grow Light
or the 84x, I'd love the 84, but it would yield more than I want (I don't wanna get caught up with hella bud). If Illuminator makes a 3w diode 90w ufo, I'd get that, but it only uses 1w lights, so fuck that.

With that said, I'm still looking at the best light for me, and by the time I end up growing, that might change. I do think LED is the way to go after HGL made the new "x-lens." Once the top LED brands, or just HGL and Magnum, perfect the focused beam tech then hps will be a thing of the past. But to each his own.

oh ya, 3w with a lens that focuses more light directly down instead of spreading it around the room.

As I lay in bed last night tho, I think I decided that I will go 84x-pro and anything over my desired yield will become cannabutter and oil, funny I didn't think about that prior lol. maybe go with the 21x (the 1w light, with focused lens) for veg, does that sound alright guys? I've heard the really strong led's hurt seedlings, but if I only have 21w and it's far away, it should be alright you think?

Any idea on cab size? I was thinking of 1 cab divided into 2 spaces with the veg being half the size of the flower room. Something like 48" wide x 30" deep x 60" tall, veg being 18x30x60 and flower being 30x30x60. That would give me some space to work with the plant and enough for the plant to grow as large as I let, but keep it small enough to not take up much space.

I don't want the plant to touch the sides of the cab, but i also don't want a lot of unused space. Some reassurance or differing opinions?
