  2. I am so jealous.

  3. How many plants do u have in there

  4. He has none...he said he is showing us the building process....

  5. I have 18 Plants in there sry forgot to update this to include - My Grow Journal

  6. why do u have your carbon filter sucking cool air from the A.C.? It should be up high to remove and filter the hotter air first. Sucking the cold air directly from the a.c looks like shooting yourself in the foot imo.

  7. It seems to work the way I have it the room stays chilled really good and plenty of cool air passes right by the filter, yes alot does go into the filter directly but that just helps to cool the bulb and to keep the heat at bay.

  8. yeah sometimes those fuckers can be too much if you already have proper ventilation. It shouldnt be a problem unless you decide to use c02, which is heavier than oxygen. :)

Since I switched to HPS for flowering I noticed the room got a lil hotter then when using the MH bulb so I had to lower the temp to 77-78.

  10. yeah. hps bulbs run hotter than mh. I did a test run with both my 400 and 600 running and i had to turn my exaust fan up a little. I believe we have a similar setup exept mines in a closet and smaller :( Hopefully when i move next year ill have an extra bedroom to create my super room :)

  11. how much does it cost a month to run that AC unit? Can you use its exhaust as c02?

Sry no idea on cost to operate cuzz I have 4 other window ac units running as well in my house along with my grow stuff I do know that the bill went up over 150 bux a month after turning em all on so current bill a month is around 250 bux atm.

To answer ur question about c02 I have no idea I just know the exhaust is HOT as hell I didnt even want to vent it through the window but I really had no other choice cuzz if I had just vented it into my garage that garage woulda have turned into a very hot sauna.

  13. I have a question for ya, sorry if it's dumb, what is the difference between 600w or 1000w (other than the obvious)? 1/2 of the public uses one or the other. I have heard it helps make bigger buds. Is that true? What are your thoughts?

  14. With 1000 watts you get a bigger, brighter bulb 140,000 lumens vs 95,000 lumens so the light penetrates further down into the canopy then 600w and with a 1000 watts vs 600 watts a 1000 watt bulb has a bigger sq foot coverage area then a 600 watt bulb.

For a smaller place 3x3-6x6 i'd say go with a 600w doesn't cost as much to run is cooler and so forth. anything bigger then 6x6 i have learned from past experience a 1000 watter is better.

Even a 1000 watt has its limits and most say it covers an area up to 8x8 which seems right as my room is an 8x7 and as it is my plants on the outer edge tend to lean into the light.

  15. Oh ok cool. So maybe hanging a row of 4 300w CFLs should do the trick in a 5x10 area? or maybe 2 rows would be better?

I have also read many places on here that 600w run more efficient than 1000 watters. Meaning you get more luman for your power consumption. 2 600s would blow out 1000w any day

  17. You may be better off with t5's if your doing that then. I have a t5 6 bulb light I use for early veg u can flower with them to but if u do flower em its best to LST them so the plant gets more light cuzz t5's don't really shine through a canopy very well.

No doubt, I would love 2 600 watt lights in my room!!!

  18. Im using a 600 and two 400 watters. Im interested in seeing what kinda yield you get. I almost went overboard and put two 1000watters in my closet but i know that heat wouldve been a major issue

  19. You know what, I agree with everything you both said to me, thank you for that! I am definitely not going to use fluorescent for flowering I did that with this practice grow and my buds came out kinda small, although I did not have the ideal conditions for it to grow to begin with, she was a real trooper for sure! I'm actually going to be building an area for my future grows. I just hope to do these plants justice, shoot I hope to make this forum proud when I am done.

    Thanks again for everything!

  20. Hey np glad we could help :)
