Attic Grow.

Hey yall!
I am starting to design my next operation in attic space in my new duplex home.

Right now i just want to "test" out the art of growing. Family and family friends have been doing it all around since I was young so why not.

I have 4 seeds that I got out of some pretty dank purple bud.
I have a 6x9x6 area to work with.
Will this be enough of a light source to grow a small crop?
Sun System 900490 HPS 150 Watt Grow Light

It is late right now but I decided I am going to start this, so I will add pics and more 2m.
Germination.........................

Re: Attic Grow.

150w will work for about two maybe three plants I believe. I mean it really depends on how many you want to grow. Rule of thumb is 100w for a plant then additional 50 or 60 for every other plant. I may be wrong and if I am I'm sure some one will call it out. But for a space that big a 1000w might be the best if your looking to grow the whole space.

Re: Attic Grow.

Also, it is getting to be winter where I am located. The AC unit and Water Heater are both located in the attic. The 6x9x6 is just the area for plants, there is plenty of access room for misc. I know 75 degrees lights on 70 degrees lights off, but should I use my unit to regulate the climate? Also, dehumidifiers as well...... Thank you for your experienced answers.

ps. pics of room are being uploaded.

Re: Attic Grow.

These pics show the floor area and the descending roof. It goes from a height of 9 feet to 6 feet.

Re: Attic Grow.

Well generally you would only want to use dehumidifier if the relative humidity is too high. Dont use a humidifier, they produce too much humidity. There are a couple options for temp control. I too am going to battle winter cold. The best thing that i have heard to compensate for winter climates is during the photperiod only run the lights when it is dark outside as it is much colder outside at that time. It will be much easier to them warm during the day. Depending what kind of light set up you end up using the lights will provide your plants with enough, sometimes more heat than needed. To regulate the temp use fans one, two, or three how ever many it takes to the temp in the 70-80 degree range.
