I need a Co2 tank and reg cheap.

I read ppl can find the tanks for $25 at a welding shop is this true?

And a reg for about $75?

HELP!!!

You might find a steel tank for that much, but it will probably need to be recertified.

Check ebay, but the shipping is a killer.

I bought a new pair of aluminum 20 lb "home bar" CO2 tanks.

With the regulator and the timer it was close to $500.00

Steel tanks as i am now finding are still $80-$100 and are still in hydro.

Tanks which are aluminum are $150 everywhere and regs seem to be $99-$150.

$100 is the norm for a good regulator.
Tanks which are aluminum will usually be exchanged for steel when you go for more co2 so it is a waste of money most of the time anyway. Steel the shipping sucks. Only thing I can say is that I guess it pays for itself and is best to go get a tank from the local hydro and exchange it for 20-30bones each time, and you never have to worry about the certification (i think 4years is the max) because you get well certified tank everytime. When you are done with it ( if you ever are) you can get your $100 deposit back on the tank.
