ventilation and air pump help needed

first off i want to say how helpful this site has been so far every question i asked been answered perfectly hopefully these 2 will be soon
first ill tell you about my setup
im running 2 90w ufos in a 2'deep 4'long 5'high tent in a closet with 5-6 bubble buckets with waterfarm drip kits going to add some cfls later on if needed
?1- i plan on running a 6in inline fan about 250cfm to a carbon filter will that be enough for the smell? im not worried bout heat cause they run cool should i worry bout heat i plan on useing the flaps for intake
?2-my air pump powering the stones sounds like my harley is it possible to build a sound proof box for it i been thinking of buying some soundproof foam from a dj supply store and lining a plywood box with it but i need to get air in without letting the sound out it dont need to be silent just alot quieter i was thinking bout putting a small comp fan for an air intake so the pump wont over heat does that sound like a good plan also considering addin some foam on the outside of the box if nessessary any ideas will be great and very appreciated

well if cooling is not your mission than no matter the fan you should be fine.

your air pump box idea is simple enough, just need a pic of the pump tp tell you what to do. But basically, you put a snorkle on the inlet for the pump and buld a box out of pink insulation foam, cheaper than dj store foam, much cheaper. and no wood would be needed just paperclips folded out straight, easy peasy japaneezy.

thanks for your help im having problems uploading pics but it looks like a typical electro magnetic compressor pump with aluminum conjstruction its made by hydrofarm active aqua 675 gallojns per hour comercial grade pump with a 6 splitter i thought about insulation foam im gonna give it a try
by snorkle do you mean hook a line to the intake from out the box pulling in fresh air to the pump do you think will that keep the pump from overheating or will it get 2 hot in the insulated box from the pump runnin constantly

It may get warm, a few holes in the one side of the box and a pc fan on the other side should be fine, build the inside of the insulation box to be baffled like a muffler for a car for keeping it more soundproof with a pc fan hole cut in one side.

yes by snorkle I mean to connect it to the inlet, I am not sure how the inlets are on those pumps but it may require some engineering to make it work. Should be fine though.

thanks for all your help problem solved it wasnt as bad as i thought i went upstairs 2day and barely could hear it.threw it on some towels i decided ima build a larger box for all my pumps and another for all the electric shit and close off the whole area off i never had 2worry bout stealth but ynot pics comin soon on the journal thanks for your help much respect you saved me some $$$$ dj foam unessessary thanks for your help again
