Stealth Grow - Gutted Entertainment center

ooookkkay... update. My GIRLS have been flowering for 4 days now. its crazy how fast those pistils multiply. I bought some Flowering nutes (meant for Tomatoes) just some cheap MG shit. Hopefully after getting this far, this bloom boost wont scorch my plants. i started with 1/4 strength on Sunday last week. They seemed to love it, as i noticed the first pistil on Friday last week, then fed them on sunday, and the pistils had literally doubled over night afterwards. So this week ill be giving them 1/2 strength and see how that treats them. at least if it negatively affects my plants i can get my $8 back (full money refund if it burns the plants, cause its gauranteed(sp?)) but still... here are some pics. one of my babies has her leaves doing the claw thing, but the new growth seems better. if i remeber right thats a K deficiancy, right?






sorry the pics are so shitty. all i have is my camera phone. i also noticed that the older growth has dark veins and light margins. im confused though case theyve literally been like that since they sprouted. i looked up all the possible problems and got all the nutes and tools to fix it, but they still look the same. i use filtered water and the Ph is fine. anyone got any ideas on what it could be? i think it may be genetic. cause only one of them has always looked like that.

they do look good for their age, especially if u flowered so early. but this is the price u pay when u don't veg and lst and go straight to flowering, nice job though hope u get smokable yield (oz or two)

Your plants are looking awesome. I'm new at growing so I don't know but to me they look like theres gunna be some good bud.
You going to clone, or no?

One question, i'm starting to grow and can you please give me a list of things you used for your plants. Thank You. Like the light, I mean all the lights people suggest to me are so expensive! and I honestly am broke as hell!(One reason I'm growing). The help would be super apriciated!

yeah, like i said before, i wasnt really going for quantity. this is only my second grow and i just want the experience so next time i can do it the right way. i feel confident that i made all the nube mistakes that i could so i wont do them next time. thanks though im glad i got this far

I really did this on a wicked tight buget. One of the lights i have is just the holder from a black light i had kickin around and the other i bought at walmart. it was like $20. Its a 150W daylight "grow light" it literally said 'GROWLIGHT' on it. The light i already had is a 75W "RED spectrum" CFL. They both stay really cool so they can be close to the plants and they are both "energy Star rated" so they dont use a lot of electricity. thats good for me since i live in navy housing and they monitor the electricity usage for each unit.

as for the soil and nutes - since im so broke (the reason im growing too) all my stuff is MG. The soil i started in after germ was Root Starter soil. it was the QUICK release formula instead of the timed release formula. it didnt scorch the plants either, so that was a stroke of luck. when i transplanted, i used MG Tomato Soil. High in N and K so its good for flowering. that was also Quick release formula. i chose these cause i figured since its quick release that i would have more control over nutes. both bags were 5lb and they were $15 at walmart.

i also bought tomato bloom booster, which was $8 at walmart (water soluable)

other than that, everything i used to build my grow cab was just lying around the house.

I thought you use something like 20-20-20 for veg and more potassium 10-20-10 for flower

Update -

Found out something interesting yesterday. Both of my plants are just bag seed, but they arent growing in the shape of a normal pot plant. so i took the liberty of asking the dude i get it from if he knew anything about the plants the buds came from. Turns out that the guy that HE gets it from grows them his self, and that ALL of his plants are just different strains of Lowryder plants. So i took some pics and went to this dude and he confirmed that thats what all of his plants looked like during growth and flowering.

it also turns out that my plants have the possibility of being either White Widow Lowryder, NY Diesel Lowryder or Orange Kush x Papaya Lowryder. And to think this whole time i thought i was growing Dirt weed....

The ladies are looking good so far, my larger plant has been ravished by heat stress unfortunately (due to me trusting my room mate with the fan, house heat and feeding schedual while i was out of town for a few days).... live and learn.

pics soon hopefully... i would like to harvest by Dec 5, but not 100% about it yet.

I am following as I am new to growing and studying the site to build a dresser stealth box. Your grow looks great! Envious and mouth watering over here.

Have to compliment you on your re-use of materials! I use an armoire that used to be an entertainment center, too. At least until all my kids come home, then up to the attic, the girls will have to go. The mountain Dew container is perfect!

Just yesterday, I was in WalMart buying a mylar, silver foil emergency blanket, from the camping department for like $2.89 (They're hard to find - they'll be on a wall, folded into a tiny 3"x4" package). Up until now, I've been using very large pieces of silver mylar, that came through th email, with one of my refrigerate-only drugs. I saved them on spec, at the time, having no idea that they would be put to use later. I like to re-use things, too

The blankets are large enough to cover all the walls of your cabinet. Just use tacks to hold it up.

thanks very much i appreciate the positive feed back. i do love my girls and id hoped that someone else would love them too. im new to growing too, as this is only my second grow. but, even without the experience im really pleased with the results.

unfortunately, i was just accepted to a school in FL and i will have to pull the little darlings before theyre ready. im gonna make hash outta them if they havent budded out by then.

yeah, i only reuse because im broke. one of the only reasons (besides that its fun) i started growing is because the price of decent weed here in maine is ridiculous. i lived in maryland previously and shit was crazy expensive there too. i got sick of it and decided to break into the huge stash of seeds ive collected over the years.

and the mountain dew bottle came to me when i visited a friends parents house and the mom was sprouting tomatoes in half-mountain dew bottles. easy to poke holes in and super easy to transplant from. you can keep the plants in them for a decent time too before having to transplant because of the depth. ill be using the same containers for sprouting next time i grow.
