would that be enough light for all of my plants too flourish or should i get 2 600 watts? they well be in a 12x8 that im going to be cutting in half to make a veg room and flowering room.
1000w is plenty for 6 plants......thats 166w per plant. rule of thumb is 100w for first plant and 50 for additional.... that said you could get away with as little as 350w, but MORE light = MORE BUD.!! i reccomend getting them in 5gal buckets plus and let them get big and bushy...... i had 4 kush plant in rubber maid totes and finished with 13.5oz....over 3oz each.
well actually i was hoping to get 300 grams at least per plant using either scrog or sog,I'm also buying a tri-meter for maximizing growth and i think im going with hydroponics ,pumps and nutes and all.But we might end up going with 12 plants if my brother gets a medical card.
so if you had the choice would you grow 19 plants on 1000W which would equal 100W for first plant and 50 for additional or would you grow less plants with more light and hope for better yield per plant?
Seems like massive overkill. 1000W MH sample current use: 9 Operating Amps @ 120V, 5.2 Operating Amps @ 208V, 4.5 Operating Amps @ 240V, 4 Operating Amps @ 277V From an electricity perspective, it really uses 1000 watts or one kilo-watt-hour. So whatever your electricity costs per kWH is what it will cost you to run per hour. Lets just say for math's sake $0.10US per kWH, at 24x7 thats $72.00US a month plus the cost of cooling the area, which will be a good 25% so lets round it to $100 a month in electricity for 4 plants. Consider a 400W instead its still more than enough for 4 plants, but I am assuming you have "come across" a 1K lamp
