my grow area

Hi all :0)

Very new to this site and would like to say hello

this is my 3rd grow and i have changed the set up a little bit. my 1st and 2nd grow was in a 4ft x 4ft x 8ft box with a 600w MH and a 150mm ex fan with a 3.5ft x 3.5ft ebb and flow table. i had 16 plants which got very crowded but it went well with a great yeild :0)

Now i have changed my growroom

i now have a box L7ft x W4ft x H9ft

i now have a 250wMH and a 2.75 ft ebb and flow table to go along side my 600wMH and 3.5ft table. I am going to scrog both tables in that area but i was wondering if i will lose light and yeild from my 600w original grow or would it be 850w total for the 7ft x 4ft? so more light = more yeild?

ps. i will be only putting in 9 plants on the big table and 6 on the smaller one.

Thanks for any replies

pps. hoping to get a diary and pics together very soon :0)

Congratulations on finding GC. Can't wait to see the pics.

Your lights feetprints will be alright. Maybe could use a 400 in place of that 250, but it sounds like you got it divided up. It wont really equal 850 watts. Just one footprint of 600watts and another of 250watts. I take it that the 250 is over a 3x4 space and the 600 is over a 4x4 space? You are using MH which is great for veg but not for budding. I did not even know that they made a 600watt MH ballast. Are you using a conversion lamp? MAybe it is an HPS and you typed wrong?
If your 250 is MH I would split the area into 2 areas to get your SOG perpetual harvest going. Use the 250watt MH to keep moms and root clones, and use 600watts of HPS to flower.

SOG will only work with a mom chamber seperate from the flower chamber, and the ability to clone.

Good luck with the setup. Peace

Your right the 600w is a hps.

I was going to setup the way you suggested but the problem is only having one extractor fan and because of light leak, I would not like to risk using the fan for both areas, I have another area that I can use for mothers and clones that is well ventilated :0) So I was going to flower in the whole area using the 600w and get a 250w hps bulb (that is why I asked about it being a total of 850w) but if I did the way you suggested, How many plants would you fit on 3.5sqf table under the 600w done sog/scrog? and using bigbud, any idea on yield? On my last two grows I used bag seeds no sog or scrog and I yielded roughly 30 ounces per grow.

Ps this site is very handy :0) Im glad i stumbled upon it (0:
Cheers

If hydro is the method, I can not really give you an answer on how many plants, I am a soil man.

Is the 250 a MH or HPS?
