Smell during veg?

I'm making a box just for vegging and I have heard that it doesn't produce a smell during veg so I haven't put any type of filter in it but just recently my friend told me that his plants would reek during veg so I freaked out but luckily I'm not far into the grow haha so I just have my seedling with time to move it before it starts to smell if it does so I guess my question is does it smell during veg?

Throughout the life cycle of a MJ plant the smell gradually becomes stronger.
smell really wont be a issue in first grows and early veg. but will be in flower.

but alot of the time it really just depends on the strain
some stink way more then others.

but you might as well be prepared and over-design your air filtration system it will only a) increase the yield and b) prepare you for flowering.


oh how i dream of the strain that has no smell .

Well since I'm flowering outdoors I guess that won't matter then and since it's my first grow yeild isn't my worry rather than experience...Thanks for the help though!
