finders keepers CASE Closet growbox(questions inside)

I'm an avid dumpster diver and street trash collector so I found it a gift from the cultivator gods when I found this beautiful case: the picture isnt very good and it measures about 35.5 inches in height, 19 inches across, and 15 inches from the glass door to the back.


My best friend and I carried it down 3 blocks and up my never ending stairs. I am trying to keep it as stealthy as I can due to the fact that I have crap loads of people coming in and out of my cramped quarters. Seeing as how I have limited space, doing a scrog grow is the best thing.

The scrog screen is about 13.5 inches from the base of the case. The screen could be much stronger because its made out of crafting ribbon! I'm definately doing a low budget grow, trying to spend the least amount of money possible. I was thinking of making the back of the case of corkboard so itd be easier to make a hole for the fans. Will corkboard work? Do you guys have any ideas for stronger scrog material? I'm trying to do everything myself and Ive tried making my own screen using coat hangers but I guess I'm just too weak I was going to put in 3 plants to start growing and I have an empty speaker box which I will snap more pictures of later and that was gonna be my veg chamber and the case youre seeing now would be for flowering. So how many plants do you think I can fit in this case?

Plain 20ga wire should work.
Id say one plant will fit that nicely, being that you want to do scrog.
Stay away from corkboard, you'd be asking for mold and mildew, use wood, or at least melamine (youd just have to paint the backside black)

I assume you are going to cover that glass with something or make a new door right?

Melamime, never heard of it before, does Home Depot have it? Yeah no corkboard then. I didnt intend on covering up the glass because I didnt see it necessary. I'm just planning on draping over a thick blanket when I decide to shut off the lights but i dunno

The glass would absorb light. You need to reflect it.
Yep, home depot has it.
They should also have wood with a plastic white coating for shelves. Buy a 6 foot tall piece and make a door out of the leftovers.

OH! I was thinking of coating the inside of the glass with mylar as well but I'm seeing just now, that there is a lot of free space between hinges and Id really want an airtight box so I will take your advice and buy me some wood! thanks!
