filing cabinet grow

has anyone ever done a grow in a filing cabinet? i found one at Goodwill and thought it would be a good idea to grow a plant in it, because it was a good size. i was thinking that since i will be moving to california this summer and getting a bigger house, i'll have more room to build stuff and work, so i was wondering if anyone has ever done this, and if they kept their plans or not?

i plan on having it ready by next winter and getting it in place to grow a plant or two, and growing the rest of the seeds outside... so i definitely have time...

Just about anything within reason will work. I plotted this once, but I needed bigger. Should work fine. Thought about lighting or venting yet? Or are you looking to see someone elses filing cabinet? Is the latter, I can not help.

What are the dimensions, any pics? wood or metal?

Haven't thought about lighting or venting at all yet.

I'm not really sure what the dimensions are, because I haven't picked it up yet, but it was about 4 feet tall by 1.5 feet wide by 2 feet deep I think, but I'm probably wrong. It's metal.

If those are your dimensions you should be good. A Metal Filing cabinet may be harder to make light tight than a wood one.
