PPM Meter wont calibrate right....
Hey I just got a new PPM meter and I put it in the 1382 PPM solution I got with it and the highest reading I can get by twisting the screw to calibrate is exactly 1082 PPM. I'll probably send it back but I'm lazy and wondering if I can just subtract 200PPM from any reading I get. Any input?

it depends on the conversion of your meter. Hannah meters read differently than others. Get some distilled water and turn the screw till it says 0.

August, I did what you said, but no matter how much or little i turn the screw (which happens to be a shitty plastic one that's being shredded) it always shows 0 in distilled water and constantly changes when I dip it into a solution.
I'm calling my guy at the Hydro Store tomorrow to get a new one sent out. |

BTW they should come pre calibrated from the factory.
