umm yeah
thats not going to work brother. if you pot your plant in a pot its definitly going to be all in your light you need at least 24 inches man you have like 12. think about if your pots are atleast 4 inches tall how much room is beetween your light and the bottom surface like 6 inches or less just not enough room your plants will only be in there for about 2 weeks if that

Also, take the tin foil off - it reflects heat more than light. paint the inside matte white or put printer paper up - both are better than tin foil. If you have the money, though, get mylar.

Actually reminds me of an Idea that I had. I am going to share it with you.
A long time ago I also thought about the TV thing. Great concept, bad size IMHO. However, that concept turned out to be the mother of an excellent Idea. You build a 4ft tall x 6ft wide x 2.5ft deep box. Carpet the entire thing like a large Subwoofer box. Next get an old TV, Old VCR, old stereo tuner, Old speakers (the tall kind preferably), hell, anything that you would find in a home theater system, and none of it has to work! You may see where I am going with this. Gut everything so all you have are some faceplates and a TV front with the screen. Mount the speakers, the TV face, and the faceplates of all the other accessories to the front of the box. Make the speaker cabinets and TV removable for interior access. All of the interior is your growspace, outfit for your needs. Power cables showing and fan noise will look/sound right at home being that it is housing all of that equipment.

Just a start. May turn out to be a fine grower with crazy stealthness. Instead of telling him its no good, try to share a way to make it better. Lets keep it positive.
