Bedroom grow ventilation?

I posted a thread with my shopping list so far for my indoor grow, and my need for ventilation was brought up.
http://forum.grasscity.com/grow-room...-list-how.html

I will be growing in a 11x11ft bedroom, with 1 1000w light at first, and then eventually 2. The bedroom is above a basement so it could be ventilated into there if necessary, but I'd like to avoid cutting holes in the floor/walls/ceiling if at all possible. I was just looking at the room and there's a light fixture in the ceiling, dead center. It has about a 4" round mounting thing, that looks like if I took it off, it'd leave a 4" hole square in the middle of the ceiling. Above the room is the attic where I could vent the room into, possibly after putting the air through a carbon/charcoal filter?

What would I need to properly ventilate this room to be able to have the 1 and then 2 1000w lights without having bad heat problems?

I'm kindof on a budget so the cheapest method is the best for me.

Thanks

Well first I ask; Is there is a window in there? If so, put up a shade in the window (so it looks like normal to the outside world, hang a piece of black landscapers fabric (or the like) behind that. Next build a 5/6 shallow box that fits over of the window (example 3 inches deep, 2 feet wide, 3 feet tall, with only one large side, the other side will be open up against the window. Open your window a bit and attach the box, Now your window is boxed in, and you only need to put a vent collar to connect your ducting to on the face. Use 10 inch or bigger (12 would be best) and use a fan rated at close to 1000cfm for a room that size. Intake could come from the basement.

I would do a CGE (Closed Growing Environment).
Co2, Air Conditioner in the window, a fan that recycles the air through a carbon filter, and a dehumidifier. No smell to worry about, no holes to cut, and perfect temp control (as long as you use at least a 10,000btu AC unit)

When doing a "bedroom" size grow, nothing will be cheap if you want great results.

This CGE method will cost around $800-$1000 for the equipment I speak of; a 10,000btu Window AC unit, a 50 pint dehumidifier, A large carbon filter (the carbon filter should be around 3 feet long), A 750cfm inline fan to match the carbon filter, and a Co2 regulator with solenoid and timer. It will be costly but the results could make you look back and say "fuck, I'm glad I spent that money."

A 4 inch hole will not cut it at all for that size room.

I am doing stealth now, but bedrooms were my thing a few years back, and I again will emphasize, Doing a bedroom grow will not be cheap if you want killer results (which I imagine you want being that hardly anyone does a grow that big for themselves alone, this business is no different than that of any other kind, You need to spend money to make money!)

Hiya!

All in all, if you want to really want great results, you will have to punch a couple of holes my friend. Not to worry, they are easy to fix.

I would use a 8" blower tied to a 8" carbon filter for your exhaust. This will allow you to expand when u are ready. For intake, a 6" passive intake will be fine also.

I have a simalar set-up in a 10' x 10' bedroom. I actually just posted a joutnal you are welcome to check out for ideas.

If you need more specific advice on venting a room, just let me know.

Damn! Just the man I wanted to talk to. I just looked at your thread earlier and busted a nut. I would definitely like to ask you a few questions but I'm off to work, I'll PM you when I get home if you don't mind.
Thanks!
