you are trying
I appreciate you coming for advice humbly. That attitude is rare around here and very welcomed by me
![]() I think the number one thing I would do is get those cfl's closer to the plants. Maybe one cfl per plant like 2" from the top of the each plant. I'm sure you know, but your plants are pretty stretched (seeking light). The cfl's you have in the standard lamp bases are probably pretty much doing nothing. Get them nice and close to the plant, even if you have to rig it with wire and duct tape.

You could use a 2x4 suspended from the same thing your light is, and put some light bases on there with some splitters and use more bulbs, From here they look like 13watt bulbs, if you use the splitter idea get some 26watt bulbs to make nice companions for your 13s.
In short, More light, closer to plants, get a fan blowing on them (unless you do and its not pictured). Welcome! ![]()

Agree with Don Piano on the fanage and the closer lights,,,, don't stake your plants until they fall over from the wieght of the buds, lol... Make the plants stand on it's own, as soon as they sprout put a small breeze on them, the stalks will strengthen and get thicker and thank you later for it.

Agreed, staking is for the massive colas. I have tomato plants that have less height that your plants and the stem is bigger round than a pencil, because of the fan. The breeze blowing on the plant helps to break tissue in the stem and the rebuilding of that tissue thickens/strengthens it up. I have some of the same tomato plants in my window, without a fan, and the stem is tall and thin and the plants look like they need staking (really they would need a fan and more light) . I am gonna toss the window sill tomatos (or bury them up to the leaves in my outside garden)
