Best pre-fab stealth cabs I've seen...

Hi all. I have been looking for a true stealth cabinet (one that doesn't even look like it's supposed to open- not like the cool cabs, which are completely obvious that they open) and I came across this webpage:

Has anyone bought from burnham? They have some of the most ingenious designs for a small scale op I have ever seen. But I can't get into contact with them. Both the e-mail names they list keep coming up dead when I try to send mail. If anyone has contacted them or bought from them, I would love to hear about it. Thanks!

Most cabs like that are usually way over priced, in comparison to what can be built with a little inventive spirit (so it is exactly what you want, not someone elses design)

Well those boxes are EXACTLY what I want, wattage and all. While I am an above average DIYer, I do not want to attempt to wire the lights in the manner they do. So I take it no one has bought from them?

Hey, thats cool if they are what you need. Good deal. I meant no offense by what I said guy. I have never heard of anyone using that particular seller.
Just curious as to what you think would be an issue in wiring a setup like that?

I'm looking at the gemini model, which in a hood about 20"x36"x8" houses two 150 w HPS and four 18" flouro bulbs. I'm confident I could figure out the wiring to get the flouros (actually I would use CFLs and a jury rigged medusa lamp to adjust the height of the bulbs), but have no experience working with ballasts or HPS. Here's some pics of how tight they squeeze in the electrical.

Sorry if I seemed hostile, I've been kinda stressed about Grad schools, and have been taking it out on everyone around me. I can't tell you how many times I wake up in the morning regretting emails or conversations I had the night before. Thanks for all the advice! Actually the wiring of the ballasts would be not too bad. Them ballasts inside that box are cheap too, http://www.plantlightinghydroponics....ast-p-995.html $30!!!

They come with wiring instructions (they are very straight forward)

I just bought my first prefab ballast not long ago, but I used to wire them everytime before. I really mean it, Very straight forward.

That doesn't look too cramped for the wiring. If you made one there is No need to mess around with the flouro ballast on the bottom, just do the cfl thing and the normal double 150watt lights on top. I bet you could even make one with cleaner wiring than the manufacturer of those. All in all, I bet it could be done for under $500.

That is pretty sweet, but pretty spendy. I am tuned in, whenever so whenever you start, i'm watching.

The only ballasts I'd been finding were like 80-120, which hardly made it worthwhile for me to rig them up myself. This looks really really stupid simple. I think I'm going to try and make my own box with a little bit of customization. Thanks for the info!!! (I don't really know how the +rep thing works, but if you explain it to me, you deserve one)

I am happy to hear I could convince you to not spend that large amount of money, and spend that money on upgrades to the same thing, built by you, for you, to your specs.
