My New Cab

Just gonna post pics of my new cab as I put it up

And post questions for all you expert modders out there . . .

Heres my old cab, I like the basic design and it works well but its not big enough and theres a few mistakes I made. And theres no Co2 in this cab.

New ones a biggn, 3 feet wide by 6 feet tall . No fixed shelf this time, if I need one Ill stick a removable in. That was mistake #1 on the first one.

I just put a brace on the top and bottom as opposed to the whole length of the cab, I might but more braces in the middle if I need to. Just didnt want to go buy another malamine slab. And I have it weather stripped up with some high quality stripping.

Im planning on running a 600W in the cab but for now Ill probably do one run with a 400W untill I can find the right deal on a 600W digital.

Ill be using the Easycool 6 reflector, linked here

http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct...roductID=48150

And venting the reflector seperately than the cab, and using Co2 enrichment.

Ill be updating more as the peices come together. Going to look at a co2 monitor today. I already have the solenoid.

Stay tuned.

Looks good. I always wanted to use one of those cabinets when I was younger and never did it. I always thought them to be too small on the floor dimensions. I guess not, they seem popular now. anyway, good luck with the new cab and I will be watching.

Well I got a 600W sunmaster ballast pretty cheap, wanted to wait out for the 600W digital but a good deal came along so, what are ya gonna do right?? And I just ordered my hood, Im going with the EasyCool6 from HTG supply.

Been drawing out different possibilities of what I want to do, I need to find those motorized dampers, besides that I just have to figure out a few more questions and Ill be ready to start making some holes lol.

Stay tuned.

Where'd ya get the "Do+Able Product" Storage cabinet from? That's just the size I need! Dam tents cost too much. Already have 3 tents, argh.

fan

I got it from OSH, not sure if they have those where ur at. . . There a little bigger than the "closetmaid" styles, which is what I have for my first cab.

Hey Im thinking of using this fan to exhaust the cab, attatching some 4 inch ducting with a damper in it and exhausting only when I have to. What do u guys think?? Ill have a 6" inline fan exausting the 600W, probably a vortex. The reflector should be here this week!!

Its coming along. In these next few weeks itll be up and running!!

Stay tuned and let me nkow about the fan!!

Thanx for the info,

I have a inline 4 incher on my hut that works well, just gotta make sure it's strong enuff to open the damper if it's one of those suncourt type dealio's, vortex would not be a problem, just loud

I could go with a bigger fan but this is just overkill Im thinking. I COULD use this fan for the light maybe but will it be too big or loud?? decisions desicions.

May make some noise, but, too big is never an issue with cooling. Maybe use the little buy you have for cirulation under the canopy when plants bet big.

Yeah I was thinking of that too, putting the little dayton like RIGHT under the hood to blow across. Any ideas how to power the fan?? lol it came w no cord. Guess I can prolly order one but Id really like to diy it up, like w a 12v or something.

Ps Im gonna check out ur attic build too, thanks for ur help and keep up w this thread its about to get going over the weekend and next week. Got a few fans to snag up and Im off!!!! Id LOVE to start this next run monday but prolly more like mid next week.

Debating whether or not to make a scrog, I gess a removable one will work then Ill have the option.

GUYS gimme any ideas u would want to see implemented in ur "ideal cab", lets put it to work here. havent cut any holes yet so lets build this together. Ill take some pics and come back later today with some general ideas bout what Im thinking now that I have almost all the supplies.
