My New Cab

I feel u its pretty crazy but its really the way to go for co2 saturation in a cab IMO. I got most of the equipment gifted to me from a good friend of mine , Couldnt afford this shit either man really.

Basically the light, lighting vent and co2 controller are all on one timer - 12/12. This is because I only need the venting for the light and c02 when the light is on. So well call this the lighting circuit.

Then theres the outer circuit that powers shit thats outside the cab (shit thats always on and the lighting circuit timer {thats really always on too but set to only be "on" for 12 hours}) The other outer circuit shit includes the thermocontroller which is always on and the power out to a Third ciruit thats always on, the inner circuit.

The inner circuit is inside the cab and always on. This consists of a circulation fan (100cfm dayton axial) and the Co2 monitor.

So imagine its lights out, the outer circuit and the inner circuit are always on, so inside the cab the fan is running and the co2 monitor is monitoring levels. Probably around 400 ppm cuz the co2 contoller is off. And the thermocontroller is on too, monitoring temps, prolly around 70 degrees.

So the lighting circuit turns on and the fun begins.

1) Co2 controller gets power and sees the low levels inside the cab so it tells the co2 to start pumping co2. The monitor reads the levels and when it hits 2000 ppm it tells the controller to stop pumping till it drops below 2000.

2)All this is overridden by the thrermocontroller. It reads the temps and when it sees 85 degrees it tells both

A) the co2 controller to stop everything untill told otherwise.

B) the cab exhaust fan to start to exhaust untill told otherwise.

Then when it sees that its dropped under 85 it tells the exhaust to stop and it tells the co2 controller to resume normal operation, in this case since its been exhausting the co2 levels will have dropped below 2000 so itll start pumpin again.

And so it goes till lights off when the lighting circuit shuts off and we wait our 12 hours.

This should make more sense maybe???

My first run in my cab I got a qp but it was my other cab under a 400 and my very first run ever. Off this 600 who knows. I like to experiment alot and I fuck around a lot. lol but when I find my keepers Ill dial them in right and maybe I can get a half pound or more each run??? thatd be nice

Heres the pics sorry it took me so long

The top isnt flush is basically the problem

On the right u see the top edge of the two doors, running along side the top of the cab. The far door is pretty good (still not perfectly flush which with these window locks u pretty much have to be) but the closer door in this pic (left door when looking at the cab from the front) is obviously almost half an inch above the top of the cab. This wont work with the window locks. Id love to implement maybe a wingnut to really tighten the doors down??

Here's a simple way to keep the top of that door shut. Take a small piece of tin or flat piece of metal, on one end notch it out so a small screw will sit inside it, then drill a hole through it on the other side and screw that down to the top of the door. Then press the door tight and add the other screw on the top of the cab in the notch on the metal. Now you just have to reach up and turn that when the door is press in and it'll stay. Works really well. In my situation you can't see it because the room is too small to get far away.


Good luck with that co2, I'm really interested to see how it goes as I'm wanting that too.

Yo the co2 shit is crazy!! Went in this morning and the shit wasnt even pumping but the cab was saturated at 3000 ppm!!!! Its gonna make a huge difference and I would definitely do it man!!!

Im gonna be building a quarantine box, might make a thread so u geniuses can help me out. I dont got ur budget tho Rob lol

Thats quite the friend you have man, lucky shit lol. And thanks for the explanation, I got the grasp of it now. Except now that I understand how they work, I want to start a new more advanced cab with all those toys . *sigh*

The wingnut is holding the 1st door shut tight, one at top and bottom from inside, then when I close door #2 I lock it and use that latch up top. Kind of ghetto I know but works for me. I didn't need anything at the bottom, it stays closed enough to keep the light out/in. I'm not feeling too rich at the moment otherwise I would have all those cool gadgets you have, you lucky fucker, lol, I was hoping to upgrade for next grow but now I don't know.

Thanks man I really wanna work on the door tomorrow. good idea locking the 1st from inside and the 2nd from outside. I might try to implement that.

Im not rich either, as u know most of this was gifted. The solenoid I got a while ago cuz I knew eventually id need it. The monitor and controller were gifted by the most generous person Ive ever met in my life.

You can DIY some of this tho, I know the DIY thermocontrolelr isnt that hard, but I dont think thermocontrollers cost that much anyway, its the co2 shit that gets up there I think.

Looking how this grow is going height might not be as much of an issue as I thought so I can probably put lots of equipment up top. Anyways when the time comes I'll probably be looking in for some help.

The scrog is coming along good, today I actually got my first brownish hairs and yeah yesterday was day 33 for me, today is 34, we're dead on man, its a race to the finish.

My shit isnt sealed, I vent every now and then for heat. Not sure the benefit to sealed but Im sure there is one. lol I think my 6 cab migh beat both of our other cabs, shes trichin up more htan my 34 day and shes 2 weeks behind. Well call her 20 days in. My OGs are turning hair color already and I think ur kali mist is known to go a little late, so I dont know man. How bout if I win I get ur cab lol

lol, I know how it is, I'm working on an auto feed system that should have been done a week ago.

How often does your exhaust come on? I'm guessing your co2 kicks in shortly after? The only advantage that I know of with a sealed cab is saving co2, the thing I'm after. I live in a small city and can't be refilling very often. You'll have to post how long your co2 lasts. How big is your tank?

Nice job with the 517 (is that the actual name) thats a lot more trics then I had at 20 days. Have you thought about adding a UVB light? That's one thing I'm definitely doing for next grow, I'll be able to compare with this one. Yeah I have a 400w but wouldn't mind more. My future plans are to make my box 1 flower box with 2 400w lights. I'll put mom and veg in the other box. You running 400w too?

Honestly I havent seen my exhaust come on since I applied the CO2. I know it does, but every time I come in the cab is saturated. The cabs in a room with AC on a timer that comes on and off evenly thruout the day, like every half an hour or so its on. I have a regular tank, not sure the size, its lke three freet tall or whatever. Ill post how long it takes for the co2 to run out.

The 517 is bagseed that came from a socla club that labeled it "MAster Kush" I know its not MAster kush but the bud icame from was triched out and this looks like its going the same way. Im excited. I call it 517 to rep my hood lol. Im not sold on the UVB thing but I might try it someday. I think Postman stopped using his, not sure. I've seen a guy around named postman with lots of rep, must be him. I don't know most people seem to say they help I guess I'll find out for myself. I'm not overly impressed with the trics I have, not much has changed there in the last week, sticky though.

The beat was one we both couldn't win, should be safe. lol I got my seeds from Canadian Seed Exchange in Toronto, I had a friend there that could get them and mail them to me so I figured that was the safest way to do it. I didn't want to have a company mail them to me. Definitely good seeds there though, got 5 which some didn't think would be enough, still have 3 left which I may never use. Next grow from seed will be something different. But yeah I've heard good things about serious, if I have it right I think Simon the breeder from serious actually bred the Kali Mist strain.

Yeah I have 2 flower cabs (1 400 1 600) a veg ebb flow cab and a veg cab for moms. Got my clones just kickin it kinda out in the open under a raised dome cuz I was running out of space in the mom cab lol
